    Quoted from megadeth2600:

The first Rush song that ever blew me away was "Time Stand Still". Everything about that song ... the drums, the bass, the vocals, was incredible to me. I recall listening to that song something like 20 times in a row. That song got me hooked.
It sucks that he's gone, but I have a feeling Rush's music is going to live on for many, many generations ... by extension, so will he.

I've been playing that song for my baby girl over the past few days...she smiles and wiggles around to it. Hopefully she'll still like Rush as she grows, despite most women having an aversion to them lol

    RIP NEIL!!!!!

    Quoted from jrpinball:

These guys are like gods to us.
When they pass, it really hurts.
It's like part of us has died with them.
The only consolation is that their artistic contributions will live on long after we're gone. The list gets longer and longer all the time. It's part of life and aging. Our idols fall, but for whom does the bell toll.
Play it LOUD, and celebrate his life!

    This puts it in perspective.

    Quoted from usandthem:

Great quote. I feel that way about the whole classic rock era, actually.

I kinda feel that way about everything I like...most of it is every specific to this time of existence...music, entertainment, even food...

If any of you have Sirius/XM, the Deep Tracks station has been a Rush tribute all day. Not sure if it’s just for the weekend or longer...but it was nice for some convenient Rush while in the car today.
