That sucks.
I normally do a trade show in NYC every January and hit that place up once or twice a trip in the evening after I get done with the show.
Sign of the time I suppose, but sucks none the less.

Quoted from iceman44:I’ll be hunting wild hogs tonight that are tearing up my front yard.
Do you eat them, or is it just damage control because they are very destructive and tear up the property?
We make them into sausages where it’s blended with domestic pork and they are fantastic for grilling.
Quoted from albummydavis:A friend of mine inTX says most of the ones he’s killed are too big, tough and all-round nasty to eat. He just has to kill as many as he can.
That’s not exactly correct.
Hogs generally travel in a passel or drove. You will get verying sizes in the group ranging from piglets to some that are several hundred pounds. Yes, the larger hogs are not choice for eating, but small to medium size are quite good.
I hunt white tail in Uvalde a couple hours from where iceman lives and when we see hogs we shoot em. The land owner wants them gone.
They are a non native evasive species that is an environmental disaster in this country.
That said, they are still good for eating.
I use a butcher in Uvalde that makes fantastic boar sausage out of them.
Have my own sausage maker, but a good butcher in Texas that does this year round really knows what he’s doing and does it better than I can.
Also, the ribs are great for smoking and grilling.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:The backstrap is the best meat from a hog
Generally speaking it’s the best cut from any animal. That and the tenderloin.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Ok so now that the Banned Covid Crew Uncle Ben’s Fan Club has been thrown out of Yet another thread - until they resurface elsewhere for yet another brief and unwanted reunion tour - let’s get back to business....
Has anybody successfully made a deal on one of the modern games? Or come close?
I wonder how many have sold so far, or if prices are coming down to the realm of “reasonable.” Anybody?
I had only been going there for a few years whenever I was in town.
That said, a lot of pins that were on the floor always had price tags on them, so they were “for sale” under normal circumstances.
Yes the prices were high relative to other regions of the US, but I just chalked it up as being NYC pricing. Not to mention a lot of people in the city don’t have a vehicle and even if so certainly not a vehicle capable of hauling a pin.
I had always assumed part of the service was they could help deliver it and set it up.
