WTF!!?? How about “you give me a product or a service and I give you money for it” instead?
Where does the money come from for your “legislation”? It’s from taxes collected in said exchanges of products for money.
Donation? “Hey! Your burger joint is shut down, and I’m hungry. But hell....here’s $20 for no burger because it’s a donation to keep your family fed, while my belly grumbles??”

Hogs generally travel in a passel or drove. You will get verying sizes in the group ranging from piglets to some that are several hundred pounds. Yes, the larger hogs are not choice for eating, but small to medium size are quite good.
I hunt white tail in Uvalde a couple hours from where iceman lives and when we see hogs we shoot em. The land owner wants them gone.
They are a non native evasive species that is an environmental disaster in this country.
That said, they are still good for eating.
I use a butcher in Uvalde that makes fantastic boar sausage out of them.
Have my own sausage maker, but a good butcher in Texas that does this year round really knows what he’s doing and does it better than I can.
Also, the ribs are great for smoking and grilling.
The backstrap is the best meat from a hog
