I had a feeling this would happen. So sad to hear this. The last time I was there was for my birthday on 9/11, I took off from work and spent the whole day there. It was glorious. For all the bullshit that NYC is the biggest city in the world, pinball locations are not common here like it appears to be for many of you living elsewhere. And in Queens, where I live, there’s nothing here. I had to trek an hour into the city each way just to feed my addiction... now what?

I don't think you need to retire the T-shirt. If anything you should wear it more to pay your respects.

My guess is he either doesn’t care if he sells any and will drag the rest back to jersey (both he and his son are big time completion players) which depends on room, and/or there may be some bargains at end of the month when lease is up. I’ll probably circle back at that time and see what’s left.

They also have a lot of former customers who might not be too hip to market and just want to lay out for the game they used to play there.

Either way, he can do what he wants they are his games. We’ve seen other places have “everything must go!” Sales without really meaning it; remember that place in New Hampshire?

Who is going for that $13k KISS Le?

You can be sure if I ever lose my lease it’s gonna be motivated seller time!!! Come
To nyc and pick at my carcass!!

Lol. Trust me, NOBODY here is thinking about going to NYC. Keep that ban on forever as far as I’m concerned. That should really help spur the NY economy.

Texas is fake news. 3700 deaths out of 30 million people. Obesity, diabetes and kidney failure make up most of that death toll and current situation

It’s pretty much life as normal here and has been that way for quite a while now, thanks to our governor in part

Sadly, my family will probably never make a trip to NYC again due to the crime and lawlessness. You can’t even walk down the street without some thug attacking a woman with a baby in a stroller.

My kids like going, my dad is from Brooklyn, but it’s gonna be a LONG time before I’d even consider it.

Now when the rioters burn you out Levi, being the friendly Texan that I am, will offer you a place of refuge!

The actual numbers are a lot higher in NY and NJ that is reported.

We were the original hotspot and we didn’t have a fraction of the testing that is going on now. The high for NJ was 4,300 for the day. The real number was probably somewhere between 30-50 thousand. The high for NY was around 11,000. The real number was probably 100,000.

That’s why the virus is dying off in NY and NJ. We have had a hell of a lot more people who had it than what was reported. At least now, the numbers we are seeing are accurate.

I’m a federal contractor and have been working with COVID data forecasting since April and I can tell you if you think any of these “experts” or models are accurate, think again. A lot of it is about money. There’s massive dollars flying around right now and it’sa total feeding frenzy.

It went out of business because of Covid and no chance of future success in that city

Let’s just stand around and whistle Dixie and have small business funerals and do nothing about it except watch it burn.

    Quoted from RWH:

This virus has completely destroyed many of the small businesses across the country, add the businesses that were burned, looted, or just vandalized and it is sad indeed.

Wasn't the virus. Was the reaction to it.

This period of history will be studied greatly in years to come. Hundreds of books will be written. The first chapter will be how fear, and constantly changing information, and just plain misinformation were used to instill behavioral changes in people that they never consent to do otherwise.

I don't think it's fake. I do think there is an agenda behind some of it especially in the media. The media has pushed the sky is falling narrative and information contradicting that is dismissed or just flat swept under the rug.

When you put the numbers together from what Fauci and the CDC have put out, we have destroyed our economy over a virus that, from what the CDC and Fauci have said, has about a 99.5% survival rate.

The people who keep pushing lockdowns and all the other stuff don't miss a single paycheck. But they have the power to destroy the livelihoods of others.

    Quoted from iceman44:

I completely support the right of people to protest. It's about as American as it gets. And I think the agenda of the protests, at least at the beginning, was correct. Unfortunately like most things it has now devolved down to and been hijacked by the "let's just tear shit up" crowd. What's going on now has little to do with social justice and lots to do with anarchy and just plain criminal behavior.

This is where I was going before with the previous post. There were hundreds of thousands of people in the streets night after night, shoulder to shoulder, yelling and screaming. That pretty much coincided with the increase in positive cases if you really believe the tests which is another subject altogether. But this is where the agenda comes in. The media flatly refuses to put ANY blame on the protests and riots. Instead the blame goes on people at the beach or the bar or restaurants or gyms or hair salons. I'm sure there is spread there. But the refusal to assign any blame to the protests is disingenuous and stinks of an agenda. Then when DeBlasio exempts BLM from group gatherings and Gavin Newsom allows protests but shuts down most every thing else the agenda comes into pretty clear focus.

I'm not a Trumpster. Far from it. But once again the American public is instructed to surrender some liberty in the name of safety. As my friend so succinctly said to me, safety is an elusive concept. He's dead right. Nobody ever promised you safety in life just as they never promised you fairness. We've been hung out to dry in the name of safety and told to wait for the vaccine which may never happen. What then? At what point do we say it's time to take our chances in life and demand not only more transparency but accountability from those who have done what has happened here?

And when did I trash Tejas? Some good food and some great music has come out of the lone star state...

    Quoted from EMsInKC:

But this us where the agenda comes in. The media flatly refuses to out ANY blame I. The protests and riots.
But once again the American public us instructed to surrender some liberty in the name of safety. As mu friend so succinctly said to me, safety is an elusive concept. He's dead right. Nobody ever promised you safety in life just as they never nm promised you fairness. We've been hung out to dry in the name if safety and told to wait for the vaccine which may never happen. What then? At what point do we say it's time to take our chances in life and demand not only more transparency but accountability from those who have done what has happened here?

As you very well know, there will never be any accountability here for the millions of jobs lost, lives destroyed and countless more to come

A Modern Bar type closing is taking place on every corner

The corrupt media and politicians, who NEVER miss a paycheck will never be held accountable

There is no common sense or critical thinking from the media led masses

You better be living life, I was with an 85 yr friend and client last evening at dinner, in good shape and spirits

how much were these guys paying for their lease? not asking for exact number but what is the cost to lease a small store front ?

I do not know. Rumors from some people involved were around 9K a month. Had no idea they could
Make that nut but one time partner the late and loved dahlia Rowan’s “birthday / corporate / private event” program apparently were the real bread and butter of the place.

They also had a pretty brilliant staffing system where volunteers worked for free (all The pinball they could play). There were lots of folks who took them up on that offer. Remember, technically the place was a “museum,” a loophole that allowed them to avoid the arcade tax that bars had to pay on games.

If there was an angle, modern found it. Very New York hustle I appreciate it.

When he would not post prices on Facebook I figured there would be virtual bidding or high prices, obviously the later. I would venture to say there won’t be allot of interest.

I am doing so to the absolute best of my ability. It's not easy given the roadblocks that have been erected. And here in MO we are much less restricted than other places.

And yes I’ll be very careful on 26th street in chelsea. Hopefully I can avoid being mugged by the yuppies going to art galleries and super models doing photo shoots. Pray for me!
