What a very, very sad day. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

His family is incredibly brave for coming forward and being open about his struggles. I am glad we (as a society) are finally getting beyond the stigma to understand that it is OK to say you hurt and need help. I just wish it would never have to come to this point for him and for so many others. The stories are heartbreaking.
May his family find comfort in his memory; may he finally find peace.
Quoted from dri:A long time friend (since the Bally/WMS days) of Lyman is running a memorial tournament with a fundraiser for NAMI. I'd like to give that tournament a promotion if that's OK. It's IFPA sanctioned and it's just in a few weeks.
RIP LFS
Kind of a bit taken aback. I actually scheduled a trip that same weekend to Monterey/Carmel and had absolutely no plans for Saturday.
I guess I know where I will be. Can't play worth a darn, but that's not what it is about. Absolutely plan on being there now.
Quoted from QuickSilverShelby:Was at the Pinball Hall of Fame again, a couple weeks ago, with my son Max and of course thinking of Lyman. I posted a "buy in champion" on my new favorite game and I really enjoyed the simple moments with my son, playing a ton of pins at the new, amazing Pinball Hall of fame all the while posting high scores with LFS initials in honor of a really great guy.

I'm in Las Vegas this week and have went twice to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Quite a few of your scores look like they're still standing - or a lot of other folks are doing the same. It's good to see.
