I would ask our Pinside brothers and sisters to please contribute information to Lyman's Wikipedia page. Thank You!!
Was at the Pinball Hall of Fame again, a couple weeks ago, with my son Max and of course thinking of Lyman. I posted a "buy in champion" on my new favorite game and I really enjoyed the simple moments with my son, playing a ton of pins at the new, amazing Pinball Hall of fame all the while posting high scores with LFS initials in honor of a really great guy.

Quoted from PsychoPsonic:I will think of Lyman when I play Rush and smile about how much he would have loved it. I hope the coders will find some way to add a Lyman tribute.
Just caught this in the attract screens on my Rush LE!
Quoted from Richard-NBA-SF2:I little tribute to Lyman. RIP.[quoted image]

I'm in Las Vegas this week and have went twice to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Quite a few of your scores look like they're still standing - or a lot of other folks are doing the same. It's good to see.

I'm sure you had a great time there like I did. I hope other folks are putting up LFS for their high scores. It'll make ya feel good if you do it too.

Just recently listened to every word of this. What a truly awesome interview, so glad it was made available for everyone to listen too. It was nice to hear Lyman's voice again and get an inside into his thought process of developing the software for a game. He must have devoted so much of himself into each game he made and then updated sometime years later, well after the game was completed and sold. So much of his time and energy went into each game. You can hear in his voice just how much effort it was, when he describes the process, of just how much of a toll it took and what it meant to him to be able to work from home.
A truly genuine person that we are all going to miss and hopefully remember him for what he did. Such a shame he wasn't able to deal with his demons. Hopefully now, he rests in peace and if there is an afterlife, he's enjoying himself, just being him.

This makes me feel guilty. Always wishing for a Metallica code polish years after it was out of production and a masterpiece. One of many for Lyman..
Quoted from bangerjay:Terrible anniversary today, played a few games in remembrance
I know nice guy to talk to and even got drinks for me an few times.
To honor Lyman.
Remember 988.
24/7 call if you are so depressed and have no where to turn. There is help.

Hard to believe it's been a year since I read the terrible news here on Pinside. Such a shame he made that choice. RIP Lyman.

Wish him all the best and think about him when you are playing his games.
Coworker borrowing my Batman '66 was asking about why it said "Honorary Mayor of Gotham City - Lyman." Relatively new to pinball but when I told him who he was and what he was responsible for, he was simultaneously amazed and bummed. The majority of the games that have resonated with him so far have Lyman to credit in some small or large part: Tommy, Attack from Mars, Medieval Madness, and Batman '66.
Easy to forget sometimes how even those not deep into the hobby were impacted by his code. What an amazing legacy!
Lyman's birthday is coming up (3/24) and his long time friend and coworker Greg Dunlap is hosting the 2nd annual LFS memorial fundraiser at Lynn's Arcade in Seaside, CA next weekend. This year we've setup a storefront with the LFS designs we came up with last year and a slightly updated one for this year.
All earnings go straight to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline which is the designated charity this year.
