    #4 4 years ago

Just wow that sucks. Amazing player.

    #5 4 years ago

Why isn't any other news confirming it?

    #7 4 years ago

Damn. Sad when anybody passes too young. He just had another child recently.

Horrible news! Poor Family right now.

    #15 4 years ago

Very sad to hear. Was great in his day as a player. I enjoyed hating him as a player.....he had a killer instinct, talked trash, and could back it up. No arguing how amazing he was on the court. RIP!

    #16 4 years ago

I’m honesty shocked! Very sad to hear.

    #17 4 years ago

Was shocked when I heard the news. Just had a baby too. RIP.

    #18 4 years ago

Totally sucks. Wow. One of the best ever and a drive to win that was second to none. RIP.

    #19 4 years ago

I wasn’t a Kobe fan, far from that, but this isn’t how it was supposed to end. It does hurt deep inside.

    #20 4 years ago

    So sad.

    #21 4 years ago

Left behind a Wife and 4 kids
    That’s the worst part

    RIP

    RIP

Just read his daughter Gianna died alongside him too.

    #24 4 years ago

Rip to one of the best ever.

No way to go, so young

    #25 4 years ago

    Daughter Gianna was on board.

    #26 4 years ago

Damn, I was hoping this was fake news. So sad.

    #27 4 years ago

I’m not even a basketball fan but Kobe is a popular video game reference and meme for nailing something perfectly. This is extremely saddening... too young and a horrible way to die with his daughter with him

    #28 4 years ago

Extremely sad day. One of the greatest players ever. He’ll be missed by millions of people around the world.

He was a great father, unfortunately his 13 year old daughter was with him, going to a girls tournament.

    Bummer.

They can't even keep a mature technology like helicopters aloft, yet some people still long for flying cars. Not happening!

    #30 4 years ago

Sad day for sure. Life long Lakers fan! Praying for the family.

    #31 4 years ago

Very sad. One of the greatest to play for sure.

    #32 4 years ago

LA Sheriff now saying 9 on board

    #33 4 years ago

Very sad and such a big loss for the NBA.

    #34 4 years ago

Man this just fukn sucks. Like a gut punch. We were the same age and I followed his entire career. Felt like I grew up with him you know? So sad too hear.

    RIP Black Mamba

    #37 4 years ago

Shocking and tragic news. R.I.P. Very sorry to hear it.

    #38 4 years ago

Only 41, and his 13 yr old daughter was on board too.

    Tragic.

    #39 4 years ago

Horrible news. He went to high school locally here and a relative of mine played with him at Lower Merion. Followed the guy his whole career. Stellar athlete.

No one should lose a spouse and child in the same day. My thoughts go out to the wife and other children. He even has a 7-month old baby at home. Sad.

    #40 4 years ago

Wow so young, daughter with him from what I read. Prayers for his family.

    #42 4 years ago

Yeah I have the Celtics/Pelicans game on and the ticker is full of great messages. Saw Trea Young wore Kobe's #8 today.

Timing is so surreal. He passes the day after getting passed for 3rd all time scoring by Lebron.

Yup...vs the Sixers downtown here last night. Nuts.

I recall when he got caught running around with a bunch of women, then had to buy his wife a huge rock to keep his marriage together. And sexually assaulting hotel worker in Colorado. Made Homophobic slurs at a referee.

    #45 4 years ago

So sad and hard believing! RIP Kobe and Gianna.

Have a bit of class, sir. I can't imagine being in his wife's position, past digressions or not. That happened in 2003 and obviously they got through and past it. She lost one of her babies and her love. May I say, (edited).

He was a pleasure to watch on the court, one of my all time favorite players. When I went to see him at Barclays in Brooklyn against the Nets, I didn't go to see the nets, I went to see KOBE. Even during warm ups he was fun to watch. He looked right at my camera... Man it's crazy, sad day for sure. I also will never forget his last game against the Jazz with the come from behind win at staples center. Here are some photos I took front row at Barclays in BK and yes the Lakers won that night and I was happy about that. :
