RIP Joe Flaherty. He always made me laugh. And was in plenty of shows/movies.

"You will not make this putt, ya Jackass!"

I’ll most remember him as the dad in ‘Freaks and Geeks’ but he was in a lot of good movies as well.

He was in Stripes but it’s been so long since I’ve seen it, I can’t remember.

Huge SCTV fan here. Joe Flaherty was one of my favorite cast members. Such a gifted performer.

The station manager, Guy Cabalero. could walk but he only used the wheelchair for "respect."Unknown (resized).jpegUnknown (resized).jpeg

Aw man, I didn't know he went. I think some of the funniest skits I ever saw were on SCTV!

Gone to Mellonville in the sky.

Wasn’t he in the Sesame Street movie too?

    Follow that bird or something.

Yep...with fellow SCTV cast member Dave Thomas.

Lots of good memories of SCTV cast members, including Joe Flaherty. Sad to learn he's passed.

I agree about getting older, but it beats the alternative

This may have been his final interview from a podcast in 2022. Really entertaining and highly recommended.

Absolute legend. My first memory of him is from Used Cars. He’s pure gold in it.
