So will the neighbour clean out all his stuff and make it into yet another rich villa or keep it as is?

Also read on twitter that feminists want to celebrate Hefners death, being the "evil" patriarch he was.

My guess is it will become a Ronald McDonald house. Or be bulldozed within a year.

You just don't want to go through that place with a Blacklight

Probably the smartest man that ever lived. He had a hard life.
RIP

I've known Hef for many years. Great guy. His house was sold and he was allowed to live there until his passing.
I also did an interview with him for my Special Effects Magazine as he was a big film buff. Sad day!

Sad day. What an amazing life he created for himself. Just the creation of playboy alone.

An American legend.

When my sister sent me this showing he made the front page with no photo caption; I was quick to point out that Barbi Benton is the girl in his arms. She was featured in the first copy of Playboy that I acquired.....

RIP Hef.

I was fortunate enough to be the "game house" technician at the Mansion from 2002-2015. Mr. Hefner always wanted the games to be in perfect running order and no expense was spared to keep them that way. The biggest challenge I faced was that all games were turned on 24/7 which really took a toll on the power supplies and connectors. Not to mention the 50-100 light bulbs that needed replacement on my quarterly visits. I experimented with LED lamps and score displays one time only to be asked to put them back to original because Mr. Hefner didn't like them.

Talking to playmates and employees over the years led me to believe that Mr. Hefner was a top-notch employer. I know just in the very small dealings I had with Playboy, they took care of their people.

Cool!

Was it just those three pins or others and vids?

Quoted from pinfixer:

And people said Hef was tacky!

#30 2 years ago

There was also a Stern Playboy in the game house along with some classic vids.

There was also the house across the street that "The Girls Next Door" used. That house had some classic vids along with one each of the different Playboy pinballs.

And did you notice the box under the machine for the shorter bunnies?

RIP. I'd really like to attend the funeral, to pay my respects, of course.

His 3 pinball machines sucked. He kept a harem of women (who could each be his great grand daughter) under a curfew.
I'm shocked to hear he was still alive.
Are people really sad that this guy is passed on, or is everyone just sentimental about their puberty pornography? (no judgement!)

EDIT: not referring to those in the thread that knew him personally. For you, condolences.

#42 2 years ago

LOL Whenever I hear the '40 virgins will be waiting for you in the afterlife' line I think of this Family Guy episode.

I learned alot about pinball from Playboy. Who says we never read the articles?

If you haven't watched the Playboy documentary series on Amazon, do it! It's really entertaining and shows the progression of Playboy throughout the years.

#45 2 years ago

I watched Playboy After Dark and never did see any naked ladies

Good and fair question, I think Hef is just another example of how great the U.S.A is. A man made an enterprise based on photographing women and creating a magazine. Like him or not, this is just a fact that this was possible in the U.S..
I just saw yesterday that women over 30 can just now drive in Saudi Arabia? How sad is that?

The Playboy franchise is part of American Pop Culture History. For me, Hef's departure is sentimental. I have no idea what he was like as a man and I'm not one to judge unless I do.

Oh, and for the record, NO pinball machines suck!!!!

He had me at "harem of women".
