Actor Howard Hesseman, best known as the hard rocking disc jockey Dr. Johnny Fever on the sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati"

Great old show, sad to hear.

He was in Spinal Tap as rock star Terry Ladd.
Not wanting to talk with the Tap guys any longer:

"Listen, we'd love to stand around and chat... but we've got to sit down in the lobby and wait for the limo."

    They were playing the Enormo-Dome.

Weird. I just binge watched head of the class a few weeks ago. Mainly because I was on a Robin Givens kick, but still.

I loved the WKRP episode where He and Venus were with a police officer who was trying to show that as you drink, your reactions get slower, but Johnny's kept getting faster. That and the softball episode where he is trying to snort the baselines.

He was also in some episodes of That 70's Show.

My favorite episode, Venus was getting plastered, comedy gold.

The thanksgiving episode as Les is reading the banner behind the helicopter, Just his physical actions in the booth. "Haaappy Thaaanks.......giving....From.....W..........K...............R..........P".

    The phone cops.

One of my favorite WKRP memories. 'Do I hear dogs barking on that thing?'

My favorite is when Mrs. Carlson hires an efficiency expert to bring the station up to snuff and the cast set him up to fail. best part is when Venus is holding Johnny Fever at knifepoint using what I think was a linoleum knife.

As god as my witness I thought turkeys could fly.

I watch that clip every Thanksgiving. One of the best episodes for sure.

    RIP!
