He started wrestling back in the 60's, .....when I was a kid, ya know,..... when wrestling was real. The Mighty Sheik, Dominic Dannuci, Pamparo Firpo, Haystacks Calhoun, Kurt Von Hess,Big Cat Earnie Ladd, Johnny Powers. Every Saturday afternoon on our local channel in those small television studios with about 25 people total watching around the ring. Nothing better than a chair across the head, an eye gouge, brass knuckles hidden in their trunks....those were the days!
I'm going to paint my tongue green in his honor this weekend....................

I had no idea what he was like in real life. What a guy and what a great wrestling character.
I think my favorite George Steele spot is when Captain Lou took him to an electro-therapist to try to tame his out of control behavior. "HOW NOW BROWN COW!"
