He was funny. As a kid I remember the old "You Hockey Puck" line.

The original wise-ass comedian... love this guy. Such a shame. RIP.

They don't make them like they used to

"Hello ice cream having a good time running around". Dirty work he was hilarious.

Nice photo o-din. He was great as Crapgame in Kelly's Heroes.

Loved him in Get Smart. The scene where he runs face first into the invisible shield in Max's apartment is one of my favorites of the whole series. I wanted to add some humor to this sad day, but I couldn't find the picture.

Saw him in Vegas a few years ago, he did the show from a chair, at the Orlean's, and the show was FANTASTIC! I laughed my ass off. I loved watching Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project on HBO again recently.

Going to miss him,he has a likeable type of stage persona.

He appeared in an original Twilight Zone episode.

I put him in that group of comedians like Phylis Dyler ,Milton Burle,Carol Burnett etc..

I was trying to find the last thing I'd seen with him but his IMDb is too full for me to even find. I think it was something where he didn't say a word, it was in a casino or might have been casino who knows.

Sad to see talent pass.

My comedic hero. RIP.

He was 10x faster/sharper than any of today's young comics. Such an underrated legend.

Quoted from o-din:

Loved him in Kelly's Heroes

Rickles was really funny! Not too many of the great comics left from that generation. Off the top of my head, there's Bob Newhart and Shecky Green. Anyone else?

Edit: I just remembered Jackie Mason.

And he was still active and touring and promoting stuff up until the end.

Quoted from gweempose:

Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner maybe
Though they are not really standups
but contemporaries.
