Quoted from vid1900:who's the 3rd ???
The tall man.
Moonage Daydream
I'm an alligator, I'm a mama-papa coming for you
I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for you
Keep your mouth shut, you're squawking like a pink monkey bird
And I'm busting up my brains for the words
Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love
Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah
Don't fake it baby, lay the real thing on me
The church of mad love, is such a holy place to be
Make me baby, make me know you really care
Make me jump into the air
Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love
Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah
Yes a sad day. Learnt a new fact about him today, even though he has been around so long. Never knew his real name was David Jones and he changed it when the Monkees Davy Jones became famous.
Still my favorite Christmas Song ever. I miss the days when MTV showed music on Christmas Day (or music at all).
Quoted from Guinnesstime:I miss the days when MTV showed music
We currently live in a society where anyone born in the past decade does not even know what the "M" stands for. But in all honesty, the music "video" was kind of a lame idea to begin with and has come and gone. That doesn't mean there weren't some gems in there though.
Saw him in 87 on Glass Spider tour. One of my favorite 5 shows ever.
Did security for the Sound and Vision tour in 91 in Austin. Just Amazing
I Missed the 94 tour at the Backyard...
RIP Thin White Duke

you might recognize this gentleman. The one in the middle. not my fat ass or my lady friend
My wife woke me with this news. Completely surprised. Wasn't aware he was fighting cancer. The world has lost an incredible artist. Saw two of his shows: Glass Spider then Sound and Vision tour. Still a bit shocked.

He was good as Tesla in The Prestige as well.
I just heard about this a few minutes ago. Truly a great artist . I've loved his music ever since I was 9 years old in 1972 and I heard it at a friend's house. So many great songs and great memories. To this day I get chills thinking about him singing Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby. I only saw him in concert once and it was a memorable event. Such a great showman.
Think I will put on some Bowie and have a few glasses of wine... RIP...
The thing that stands out is how versatile he was able to cross several media such as movies and here's one for you David Bowie narrates Peter and the Wolf
Heard this last night at work... Really bummed me out. Total surprise. I guess we all have to take that trip some day. Thanks for the hours spent enjoying your music!
Hunted for my Ziggy Stardust CD for about a half hour until I realized my wife took it in the van.
Watched Bowie videos on YouTube until late. Man.....that guy made a lot of great music in his career.
I know what I'll be doing the next few nights.
RIP David. You'll be missed.
