Was fortunate enough to see him once as a kid. Without out question he was one of the pioneers/inventors of Rock n Roll.

The sound and shift to lead guitar being the focus of the song. The song writing was good. He invented words that didn't exist.

Examples: from the song No Money Down
As I was "Motorvating" back into town.
If you have never herd it give it a listen. He is asking for a car with stuff you could only dream of having in a car in the 50's.

    Another is:
The sun went down. The heat went down. That's when I heard the "Highway sound".

A true original. Between him and Little Richard it's hard to say who invented Rock N Roll but both had a big part in it.
