Saw him on Broadway Death of a Salesman 20 years ago or so. It was good. Lots of yelling.

That is one thing I wish I could do more, see these folks on Broadway. It's an entirely different type of experience.

He was awesome as the evil boxing coach in “Gladiator”.
Great tough guy actor, enjoyed his work in all his movies. Rest easy.

No

I liked the FX movies. RIP Brian

I first saw him in Silverado (great 80s western for those that never checked it out), he played a perfect charismatic villain. Lots of great roles over the years.

Patton Oswalt tells a story about bumping into Dennehy at a movie premier buffet when they were both loading up their plates while the slimmer stars held back, and Dennehy said to him "Character actors! Who gives a fuck if we’re fat?"

So many good roles. Great actor.
Teasle : If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Also in one of my favorite lesser known movies. He was the pilot in "Never Cry Wolf".

He was perfect in First Blood. Damn I liked him as an actor, and hated him in that movie, so his acting was spot on.

#21 4 years ago

Great actor, and I hear he was a heck of a good guy in real life as well.

My buddy texted me 12 days ago and said he was sure Corvis was going to take Brian Dennehy; he's now demanding an autopsy.

Not only a good actor but also ran an auto parts company with his son.

R.I.P Brian Dennehy. One of the great character actors of his generation. I'm going to watch First Blood tonight in his honor.

Godspeed Brian.

He was so damn evil in Rambo! What a great heavy, and could play the other direction in stuff like Cocoon.

Rambo and Tommy Boy are American Classics
