Power off, check the resistance. Compare to a known good coil or use the charts online.

Power on, ground the tab that’s not getting power. The coil should fire. This is a momentary test, don’t leave the coil on very long.

You guys are talking about two different parts of the game. OP is saying BUTTONS, not coil lugs.
