Quoted from Jeremecium:Does anyone know why he and Neil Shatz don't really seem to compete any more?
I see both of them pretty regularly and both are still doing good for the hobby. Rick is single handedly repopulating his home town with pins. If you play a pin on Murphy street in downtown Sunnyvale, it's one of Rick's games. Including a minty Sweet Hearts for 25 cents a 5 ball play. Neil recently competed at the Radio Shack tourney and lost in the quarter finals to the eventual winner. We saw Neil Friday night playing the only TWD around. He was grumbling when we got there about numerous issues the game was having, but of course he had the GC score already. Both guys are doing just fine and still contributing to the hobby in positive ways. If you play on location much in the bay area, you have a good chance of running into one or both of them.
Quoted from Miguel351:There was a little red-headed 9 year old girl that pretty much destroyed everyone in the one-handed tournament.
That would be Bella. She's an awesome kid who will soon be kicking ass in the juniors division at PAPA. Her and Escher probably have more tourney experience than 98% of the folks here.
Two guys not competing as much any more, two youngsters going balls to the wall. Seems very appropriate.
