Now that Spooky has made toys on a spring cool, I can finally not be ashamed of my Tie Fighter on a spring .
Quoted from Groo:Do you just pay the minimum if you get lucky or can you pay extra?
I recommend paying double, only way to be sure you don't get squanched
download (resized).jpgQuoted from BowlingJim:I missed the preorder. Hopefully I will be able to get one in the used market someday?
Some of the 750 will sell their spot in line eventually, going to take 18 months to make all of these and some will need their money back by then.
Quoted from bounoun:Did Stern design the playfield art ? My lord, could this be worse than Star Wars?
I don't know what you were expecting but the art looks just like the cartoon. Maybe they could have hired Matt Groening to make them look like the Simpson's lol.
Quoted from Zablon:Unless the only reason you are mad is because you were going to try to flip them for BIG MONEY!
Bingo, that's a big part of it. Have to flip when hype is at the peak.
Looks great!!! Congrats to all who got a spot, hopefully can pick one up at later date on second hand market.
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:can you get any more cheesier ????
He could have dressed up as "L" and put fake blood dripping down his nose.
Quoted from Capn12:Well, there are only 4 distributors to talk to, per an email to Spooky, and I'm coming up empty. So if there are R&Ms out there, they are being hidden very well.
I know there are waiting lists but haven't found a spot either without putting an incentive out there.
Quoted from garretswinning:Where did ya hear that?
I thought I read a message in this thread that a special stream was coming on 2/7, since Spooky was headed to Adult Swim around this time maybe I just assumed it was R&M.
Quoted from toyotaboy:Jack Danger's monthly twitch newsletter says "Expect a VERY special stream on the 7th... :O".
Mayyybe it's rick & morty?
Here is the post that I got it from.
Quoted from rai:How about Bowen he's one of the best players in the world and he can't make the shot she called for.
She's like 'can you make any shot I want?'
He's like 'sure' then brick city.
(ps don't get mad, I love Bowen it's go to be tough to deal with people like that girl it'd be enough to throw anyone off their game).
I'm sure even Bowen has to spend some time getting familiar with shots on any game and we don't know how much time he has actually had on R&M.
Quoted from SlightlySnaked:Got a BS edition in the low 200's through a distributor for $8,500.00. With shipping and tax I think it came out to around $9,400.00. Not the easiest pill to swallow, but with the low number and I game I really want, I'm okay with it.
Was this the distributor directly or were they being the middle man for someone that wanted to sell their spot?
Quoted from woody76:A year from now when the dust settles there will be plenty available at reasonable prices.
You maybe right but it could go the price route of JJPOTC. For a game that sold out in four hours on theme alone and capped at 750, I'm guessing demand is going to stay high and for a long time.
Quoted from woody76:You have been around long enough to know that once dust settles it will come back to earth. Will just take time. You do realize America's Most Haunted did pretty much the same thing. If I am not mistaken one sold for $10k to a guy who just had to have one. Now they can be got for $5k all day
We will see, not saying it's never going to come back down to earth just going to take longer based on a extremely popular theme and the Danesi/Bowen combo.
Quoted from Cyrus:2. I didn't miss not having any bash toys. Like ACNC, I was too busy trying to keep the ball in play to notice.
While props go out to Spooky for upgrading the rubbers to silicone on their games, they just are too bouncy to have any kind of reasonable control. I suggest at least changing out the flipper rubbers to regular rubber, ACNC and R&M are difficult enough on their own with some tight shots and extra bouncy silicone is just over the top IMO.
Quoted from zaphX:See, I find the opposite. To me, regular rubber has a lot more bouce than silicone.
I think it depends on who you get the silicone rubbers from. Spooky gets them from Pinball Life I believe and they are bouncy as hell.
Quoted from gliebig:My stock ACNC rubbers are great. I don't find them bouncy at all.
Well I changed mine out to regular rubber and they are at least 30% less bouncy. It all depends on what you like in the end, to each their own.
