Maybe they'll have a "no humor" mode too, for all the humorless, uptight geezers.
Quoted from Chitownpinball:Chris Parnell has amazing comic timing. As soon as I read that about him you lost all credibility. Thanks, moving on.
Genius casting.
Quoted from northerndude:I hereby announce the abbreviation for Rick and Morty to be RM
Why not RAM? Vowels good.
RM makes me think Rick Morty. R&M maybe.
Quoted from CLEllison:First of all the program is called Rick AND Morty (AND - not ampersand) so the acronym for the game should be RAM.
I agree, but the ampersand IS "and." And "&" conveys more information than just "A" would.
Quoted from CLEllison:does buying a Fang membership guarantee a seat at the "purchasing table"?
That's the idea, but maybe not if they get enough new members!
Please, someone take my money!
Quoted from yancy:Most of the show's humor and sci-fi appeal isn't that vulgar.
Sex is sacred!
Quoted from gliebig:Going to check out this R&M thing. What channel is it on?
Cartoon Network, during Adult Swim.
Back catalog is on Hulu (apparently unbleeped).
Quoted from FatPanda:I watched the first few episodes in Season 1 last night on Hulu and it was still bleeped. Is there a separate version?
Sorry, guess I was misinformed from another post, that's why I hedged my statement with "apparently."
Apparently not?
I know I've seen unbleeped on YouTube but I imagine those were DVD rips that have been since removed.
Edit: I just checked rickandmorty.com and it's there too, for free, but still bleeped.
Dang, unbleeped was even funnier! Guess I need some DVDs. (Or BluRay, but that's overkill for animation. Unless there are a lot of extra goodies!)
Quoted from PwninShiznat:Season 3 is when they stopped bleeping it
I know they lets some "shit"s go unbleeped but not all. I guess there's a max quota?
Quoted from wesman:What a weird thread. It's like Judgment...the Thread.
We've got people who maybe have never heard or seen the show, thinking this pin will sink. Then people who are ardent fans judging those unfamiliar with ageism and derisive comments.
It's all just ugly, and gross.
On the other hand, this can bring an entirely different energy. Ala people that are into pinball, might watch the show and enjoy it. New fans! (I just started downloading the show last night myself!) And then people that aren't into pinball and love the show, will play pinball. New fans!
So new fans all around can ONLY be a good thing! So let's all maybe try to be a little less judgmental, and more encouraging of one another, eh?
Side note, it's media. Media we are fans of. Not necessarily media we've created. So maybe taking an approach of not dying for media on a sword, one direction or another, is a smart approach as well. And also, we criticize people jumping blindly at Munsters, Elvira, etc, so why not feel similarly in this manner?
I can't see this game as anything other than a BIG positive, whether I'm a fan, a buyer or end up being neither. I know I'm definitely a player, and without a doubt this game will garner pinball some new and NECESSARY attention, to ground it more towards a sustainable future, than a possibly dying past. There's no harm in that, that's for sure!
No need to get reasonable!
Quoted from ThatOneDude:I mentioned Revenge of the Nerds, and none of the millenials thought it was very funny.
But those Deltas had it coming!
Quoted from TheLaw:Another swing, another miss
I wasn't being serious. REVENGE of the Nerds?
Quoted from Shapeshifter:No bleeps on Netflix.
First 3 seasons.
Ooh! Ooh! Hadn't checked there! That's BLEEPing excellent!
Quoted from TheLaw:You weren't being serious aboot the Deltas or not serious aboot Revenge of the Nerds which includes no Deltas?
Ah, you got me, Alpha Betas, not Deltas. Been a long time since I watched it, kind of cringy nowadays.
Quoted from ThatOneDude:Well, actually the sorority was Pi Delta Pi, right? Maybe you were thinking of that.
Oh good, I'm not completely losing it.
Quoted from TheLaw:I think he was thinking of The Deltas form Animal house, but he actually meant the Omegas.
I think you probably are, they are never referred to as Deltas in the movie.
Glad you're on top of the important stuff, like niggling personal attacks on yours truly.
So, not on Netflix, is available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video, and is unbleeped on Hulu season 2 on? We'll get it straight yet!
Edit: Hulu, Season 2 ep 1, bleep! I give up.
Quoted from yancy:Yeah Morty I can't wait to find a thousand *BURRRP* posts about the Game of Thrones battering ram when I search for RAM, jeez Morty, it's like *BURRRP* you've never heard the word "ram" before, you really are your father's son aren't you?
I tried searching for RAM and most hits are actually on RAM chips in tech threads.
I'm now in the R&M camp. Hopefully Pinside can fix how the "&" shows as "&" in post quotes...
Quoted from Jackontherocks:Maiden is a band (and not my favorite overall but like) that will be remembered when we’re long and gone whether anyone likes them or not, this show will be long forgotten. This cartoon is not in let’s say the top 20 of cartoons, however, Maiden is in the top 20 rock or heavy metal bands
I've been a rocker going on 50 years, but I couldn't name one of Iron Maiden's songs. Listening to their most popular songs on Spotify as I type, it all sounds like rehashed Sabbath/Priest to me. I mean, it's not quite unlistenable, but it's nothing special. Tiresome.
More significantly, Rick and Morty was voted the #12 best TV show ever on imdb.com. Not just comedy, not just animated, #12 of all TV shows! No animated series is ranked higher. There goes your "not in the top 20 of cartoons" assertion. It's also the highest ranked comedy show.
Quoted from razorsedge:No, "ballance" is correct english for me thanks
"balance" is an americanised spelling of english.
Similar with "colour" ... which you guys spell wrong by skipping the "U"
Same with all those words that are meant to have an "s" but you throw a "z" in there instead... like "randomise", correct!
What are you talking about? Both Brits and Yanks spell it "balance."
You guys are bad enough with the extra letters everywhere, don't start making up new ones!
Quoted from yancy:by the time season four airs.
Better remember to tape it on your VCR!
(I believe the correct term for streaming shows, not being broadcast, is "drops.")
Quoted from yancy:Wow man, that's next level pedantic. How about this mind-twister: cable shows don't actually air, because they don't come over the air! But if I stream Netflix on my iPad, Stranger Things is airing.
"Who cares," you might say. And you'd be right.
Why, thank you for the compliment! That's right, cable network shows don't come to the end user over the air, either. But they are distributed to the cable providers via satellite, d'oh! But seriously, airing refers to broadcast RF transmission, not streaming to a tablet. You're not "on the air" when sending a Pinside post over WiFi...
It is a funny term, though, seeing as how the radiation of RF energy has nothing to do with the air itself! (Except perhaps for ionospheric skip propagation at lower frequencies than TV uses, but the air is awful thin way up there.)
Heh heh, someone literally "on the air" had better have some sort of aeronautical support, like a plane or a parachute!
To be honest, the term is gradually being generalized. Someone live streaming a podcast could say they were on the air and I wouldn't blink.
Quoted from scruffypinball:You know who is close to Justin Roiland that loves pinball???
Jack Black!
I would be in for a Tenacious D pin!
Quoted from Patrunkenphat7:Is this game “Haunted House Party,” or is HHP actually another Spooky game being worked on?
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rick-amp-morty-pinball-from-spooky?tq=Hhp&tu=
I love the teaser video's ending:
Morty: How many quarters?
Rick: I don't know yet, Morty! I'm sure you can adjust that! Uhh, you could even put it on Free Play mode if you bought one yourself, but what are the odds of that happening?
I never got an email either specifically for the club (just that I had ordered it.)
But if you log in on Spooky's site, I believe it only displays the club merch for you to buy if it recognizes you as being in the club. I know I can see it.
Quoted from Bitbuster:GREAT! All I'm getting is
Cannot proceed with order, please review before checking out:
Shipping Method
Same here.
It went through! 1859 for me! (BSE)
We know of a 1790, so I'll have a couple months at least to come up with the rest!
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Wow, thought there may be a Day 1 sell out but not a 1 hour sell out!!
They must be close, but as of right now they are still available on their site.
Quoted from SkillShot:When can we expect a stream or an actual play through video of the game?
Maybe from buyers when their games are delivered?
Spooky might still do it out of the goodness of their hearts, I suppose, but obviously they don't need to do any more advertising!
Quoted from Hazoff:I thought it was going to be Killer Klowns From Outer Space, that had a chance. This has zero chance. Who the hell are Rick and Morty?
Shows how very, very wrong one can be.
Quoted from FalconPunch:Has anyone found the Flooble crank toy?
No one has pointed it out yet. I'm curious myself.
Flyer says "songs" which there haven't been a lot of. Get Schwifty, Terry Flaps, the Bowie-esque song by Fart, what else could there be?
I got lucky, I sometimes go days without checking my email or Pinside.
I was expecting closer to Christmas, like the original announcement graphic said.
Quoted from BoJo:Not even sold out for a day and the pumping begins.
I wouldn't characterize what I said as pumping. For one thing, no way I'm selling mine.
There's just no reason what happened with Tron LE won't happen with R&M. Supply and demand. Gonna be a way cooler game, too, and you can't slap light tubes onto a cheaper model trying to replicate its greatness, there isn't one!
"Bold" was tongue in cheek.
Quoted from Thenewguy1337:What happened to the huge list of order numbers?
Quoted from BoJo:Likely deleted since I cannot find them either. Gotta love moderation.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rick-amp-morty-pinball-from-spooky/page/66#post-5356448
Gotta love search! (I searched for "BSE")
Quoted from BoJo:I made a mistake and and missed it when I went back looking through 4200 posts on my phone. Hopefully the Pinside gods will forgive me. Now you can go rub one out for proving me wrong
Um, you're welcome? Sheesh.
Quoted from Rockytop:What does the shot to the house do? Does it orbit around or do something else?
Yes.
Quoted from Rockytop:When it’s a portal shot, does something different happen mechanically?
A staged ball immediately appears at the left flipper.
Quoted from f3honda4me:Damn that sucks for me I probably just missed the cutoff for the first 50
Between the 80/20 split and the people buying Fang Club memberships in order to order the game, you are probably in that first batch of 50.
Quoted from f3honda4me:I can only hope :p
I was order 1853 so if 1790 is the earliest reported number, that puts me at 63. If only 80% of those are BSE and the rest are standard and/or fang club orders, it puts me right on the cusp.
Oh, didn't realize you factored that in.
Quoted from Morinack:So here is my latest stab at calculation of delivery schedule.
No I have not heard anything yet.
Spooky had 375 orders, the other 375 were split up across distributors.
My understanding is they intend to build half the Spooky orders and half distro each week.
With a limit of 10/wk that means 5/wk for Spooky orders.
Lowest order known is 1790, my order is 1944. Making mine the 154th Spooky order.
Divide that by 5 builds a week and you get 30.8 weeks of builds.
That puts me somewhere around early August without factoring in holidays, inventory challenges, non-pinball orders in the first 16 minutes of ordering, or misc.
You could also factor in the ~20% that aren't BSEs, which would lower your estimate to 24.6 weeks.
Unless you ordered a standard, then all bets are off and you're looking at 2021.
I think it is disingenuous to pretend that no one is supposed to feel at all disappointed when they find out their wait time is twice as long as all previous information appeared to indicate.
I doubt the folks being so clever, saying baby this and snowflake that, are even buyers. At any rate, their behavior reflects on them worse than does that of those affected by their own premature calculations.
Please note I have not and am not complaining, myself. More time to save up, and good reason to concentrate on getting a few EMs working that have gathered dust for too long, not to mention the free big ball bowler I scored last week!
Quoted from 6S3NC3:I called spooky and asked questions about how numbers would be allocated b4 the sale (actually spoke to them 3 different times). They told me on the phone the first 100 were already accounted for and the next 50 were go being distributed to distro's.
If they, or you, had shared that info a little sooner, it would have prevented a lot of erroneous conjecture.
Quoted from rai:can we decide on an acronym?
RAM or RM??
R&M comes out like this R&M when quoted
That can be fixed. The same bug was previously squashed with regard to thread titles. Simple. For the time being, you can fix the quote as I have done above if it bothers you.
R&M makes the most sense. As I keep saying, an ampersand IS an "and." It has an interesting history. Nothing to be afraid of.
RAM refers to memory chips. Try searching it. 6000+ matches. Same with RaM. I'd rather see R+M.
RM is just silly, it's not Rick Morty.
Quoted from jonesjb:This mech sounds so clever and versatile - with so many combinations of software and elements of the lock.
For example, it could even be used in a mode as a two ball multiball mode, where you after locking the first ball and it's in the state above (center post down), you have to hit the ball to transfer the ball to the other side, and then open the second drop (releasing it into play). Hitting shots to prime your score prior to releasing the ball and starting 2 ball multiball could increase the value of two ball jackpot shots.
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:I figure "Ball Fondlers" has to be an adventure, right? Goes great with pinball.
These ideas would go great together!
Quoted from robin:Ampersand quoting issue should be fixed now!
Thanks, Robin! That was fast, I just sent the PM last night! Wish I, or anyone else, had told you about the bug weeks ago, rather than going around and around about it here!
Thinking about the build order thing, not that it's a big deal, but if all standards are to be built after BSEs, then won't that mean that unless all distributor buyers went BSE, they are going to have to revise the list and lower most numbers? Either that or build the lower numbered standards out of order at the end?
Quoted from DanQverymuch:Thinking about the build order thing, not that it's a big deal, but if all standards are to be built after BSEs, then won't that mean that unless all distributor buyers went BSE, they are going to have to revise the list and lower most numbers? Either that or build the lower numbered standards out of order at the end?
Quoted from Gryszzz:TWISTED PANTIES
Take two.
ACTION!
Hey, it's a legitimate question, one that would make you wonder as well, had you any critical thinking skills.
All of the standards at the end of that cobbled together list are from direct orders, and there is no gap for standards through distribs. So either
1) all distrib orders are BSEs (unlikely)
2) the distrib standards get built in number order, before all BSEs are done (not as promised)
3) the distrib standards' slots get moved to the end, and most BSEs move up some small number of slots, and renumbering happens
4) the distrib standards get built at the end, built out of number order, so again most BSEs get built slightly sooner as in #3 but they leave the numbering alone
None of these scenarios are ideal, and none of it is earth-shattering, but logically one of the four must occur due to the system they used for the ordering.
No PANTY TWISTING involved, except maybe on your end if you can't wrap your head around the admittedly insignificant issue. I'm just curious how they're going to handle it is all.
EDIT: I presume it will be either 3 or 4, so it's all good news, most BSEs would be built slightly sooner than we thought, depending on how many distrib standards were ordered and where they sit in the list.
Quoted from Gryszzz:I wasn't even referring to you Dan but Merry Christmas to you too!
My apologies, sure seemed like it. Quoting can avoid these misunderstandings ya know.
I mainly wanted to bring it up again, so I used that as an excuse. Guess there are more important things to worry about.
Merry Christmas! Have a cool yule!
Almost five hours since a post in this thread? No more "on fire" icon?
That's it, the excitement has died down for this title.
So who's ready to sell their spot at cost?
(Not me!)
The whole problem stems from the mutually exclusive parameters the games were sold under.
You can't give blocks of games to distributors of yet unknown BSE vs Standard counts, AND promise to build all the BSEs first, AND assign numbers before knowing what the distributor version counts end up at, without either having to renumber or else having to build the distrib standards out of order.
Which wouldn't have been so confusing if it hadn't been an instant sellout.
I knew not to back up or double click, but the damn thing kept telling me I had an invalid shipping option!
From Spooky's website:
Your yearly Fang Club goodies will ship on January 8th! If you do not receive your goodies 2 weeks after the ship date above, please reach out to us using the "Contact Us" tab on the store website.
Quoted from Globalcop:I've been buying each season since the start. Just realized it's free on Hulu. Oh well. At least I own them now.
And you get to hear the sweet, sweet profanity!
Yeah, sheesh, 10 per week was stated as their capacity, the number that will come off the line once everything is humming along. They don't start each day with all the loose parts for two games and assemble them that day, starting over the next day!
Quoted from Whysnow:sorry... ain't swapping
Will be bolted on the floor next to TNA #420
Quoted from Whysnow:Final payment mailed.
Things are getting closer.[quoted image]
Is this confirmation that they are not being built in number order?
So, yes, some numbers are not in order? Cool, solves a lot of problems.
I was just curious, never had a beef with any of this non-issue, perfectly happy with my number all along.
It's all good. Now, are you gonna keep hating this playa or are you gonna jack my steez?
Quoted from Whysnow:No Jerry. I bought two games.
Paid in full for the one that will be going on route right away (like I always do, to allow others to play it, get exposure for Spooky, and help provide feedback from initial run so everyone else gets and even better game).
My personal game for home won’t be built for another 42 weeks.
If I've learned one thing, it's that before you get anywhere in life, you gotta stop listening to yourself.
Good for you, Hilton, maybe if someone had actually answered my question I wouldn't have come to that erroneous conclusion.
But I still wonder, now, how they're going to reconcile build order numbers with all Standards being built last. Not that the resolution really matters, but that particular horse I do not consider dead. It's a straightforward question. I did email Spooky about it and the response was a non sequitur and didn't answer the question. Much like every time I've asked about it here.
It is funny how easy it is to rile some of us up (e.g. not even trying, just asking a question). If it was made clear somewhere and I missed it, please feel free to point it out. I feel like I should be the one using the emoji.
Everyone is right, the numbers will end up where they do, my stupid question is irrelevant. Spooky will do what they think is fair, I'm sure.
I mean this. I'm sorry for wasting anyone's time.
Jerry mode off
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:You could always put a power ball on your flooble crank if you are into that. It shoudl work fine as power balls have a harder outside layer just like natural balls.
Quoted from pinballlife:Wait a minute....
Am I imagining things or is flooble crank code for *penis* in many of these posts?
Please, someone clarify. I hate not knowing.
I'm not sure, but (TMI I know) the outside layer of my natural balls is not hard at all, more of a fleshy pouch kind of thing, rather like a terry flap I suppose.
Quoted from Rum-Z:Plumbii
Definitely not with two i's, and probably not with one.
Actual consensus out there appears to be "plumbuses." Rick even said "plumbuses" at one point.
All I have to say about this DLC ruckus is that it's overblown. Pinball machines are physical objects, unlike video games. Isn't that a main reason we love them? Any DLC would not change that underlying reality, and it will never be a major factor or revenue source for pinball.
Once we are all in sensory deprivation tanks, being fed by tubes and playing VR pinball, all bets are off.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Everything but butter... and the bill acceptor.
It has been pointed out but bears repeating I guess, the bill acceptor option is just for the door that will take one. Not the actual acceptor.
There are other things that might go in that blank to consider as well.
Oh, and AWESOME about the TOPPER! Literally awesome.
Oh lordy, how can anyone hate, even despise, toppers? I looooooooove toppers, they are the best part of any machine. Games look naked without one. I'll play a game without a topper if I have to, but I'll be eyeing up the toppers on neighboring games during the other players' turns. They give me a bit of a chubby, to be honest. My heart is all aflutter wondering what R&M's will look like. This is such a relief, not having to come up with something to top my game, I would have had to cancel otherwise!
Ok, not really, but it's no stupider than "despising" toppers!
Spooky needs to modify their tagline!
From "The best pinball company in Benton, Wi!"
To "The best pinball company, in Benton, Wi!"
This show obviously pushes the boundaries, but that Clockwork Orange-esque "forcing Morty to look" pose strikes me as maybe just a little too child-abusive? Yeah, I know, laughable when Morty goes through so much that is so much worse all the time, but this is a frozen moment of Rick directly... oh, never mind. I just hope it isn't the topper.
Quoted from Whridlsoncestood:No Thanks. Can we please stop trying to over analyze and data compile every single tiny thing in the hobby.
I'll start a poll whether we should do that!
People got their Fang Club swag? I'm in Wisconsin, and I'm still waiting, maybe I should go outside and make real sure it's not buried in snow!
Speaking of the free topper, I saw elsewhere a pretty good confirmation that it is indeed based on the artwork in the topper announcement.
Which is fine with me, it didn't really bother me that much. A Rickwork Mortyange it is!
Quoted from Fortytwo:It would be cool if it did. I Wouldn’t take it for granite.
No schist.
Do you want spooky blowing money on better fang club swag (perhaps those stupid giant head figures?) or using it to make the game as great as possible?
Quoted from Pinball-Obsessed:My wife says pinball is a waste of money!
I wish I could sell all the cable I've watched over the years for 80-120% of what I spent!
Quoted from epthegeek:I'd want Rick & Morty. But I realize that's irrational based on how little source material there is so far and how almost nobody knows what the show even is. I'm just being selfish.
Wow, found this gem in a 5 year old thread. Funny how things work out sometimes!
For some reason I never saw this Simpsons/Rick and Morty crossover couch gag from clear back in 2015, linked below for anyone else who missed it:
Elephant in the room!
That line of ten games are all non-BSEs apparently? I see a lack of purple.
Even the powder coated coin door pic is oddly on a game with black side rails. But they do all have purple speaker panels.
I presume these are the ones going to Adult Swim, etc.? They can't be building them and changing the hardware out after. Well, I guess it's possible but seems unlikely.
Hilton's pic has a purple lockdown bar though...
EDIT: it would seem uninstalled side rails are no color at all!
Quoted from monkfe:I don't think the rails are installed yet
Ya know, zooming in is fuzzy, but I think you're right. Cool, never mind!
I thought the rails had to go on before the hinges.
Quoted from Zablon:I understand what it is, but that doesn't answer the question. It sounds exactly like something from Binding of Isaac.
"For the Damaged Coda" by Blonde Redhead
Quoted from Tilt:I just dont care for cartoon animation shows, never have. I havent even watched an episode of the Simpsons. Now if this was a Law and Ordre pin, then it would go straight to my collection, lol
Your irrational, prejudiced disdain for animation (never watched one Simpsons?!!!) is causing you to miss out on some of the best TV existing.
As I pointed out earlier,
Quoted from DanQverymuch:Rick and Morty [is rated] the #12 best TV show ever on imdb.com. Not just comedy, not just animated, #12 of all TV shows! No animated series is ranked higher... It's also the highest ranked comedy show.
But you're too good for cartoons; you do you.
https://www.imdb.com/chart/toptv/
By the way, Law & Order? Didn't make the top 250, at 7.7/10. (Funny, that show does officially use an ampersand!)
Quoted from yancy:He just doesn't like 'em. I don't get it either, but give the guy a break. Never seen so much vitriol for a guy saying "no interest in animated TV, but I'm buying the game anyway to route it." Most guys are like "I don't like theme X, I'm OUT!"
Troy is a good guy and a constant contributor to the hobby.
I'm sure he is an all-around great guy, surely that is his only example of closed-mindedness. No doubt he's a riot at parties. But if "you do you" is vitriolic, I don't know what to say.
Mainly I just wanted to bring up the "#12 TV show of all time" thing again. Rick and Morty is awesome, and I can't abide someone rather snootily saying they dislike it by default but hopefully it makes them money, without providing a little pushback.
Quoted from lpeters82:Sounds like the perfect person to implement Jerry's Game video mode, where you press the flipper button to get points. Rick makes fun of you for doing such a mindless task for minimal points.
With Human Music playing during the mode! And a secret both-flippers cancel that actually awards more points than playing the mode out would!
The best stuff (of anything, not just pinball) requires time and thought and multiple experiences to develop deep appreciation.
It's too soon to have anything but first impressions on R&M. However, those first impressions are mostly off the charts!
Quoted from garretswinning:What post number was the details on kruzman doing the playfield coating?
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rick-amp-morty-pinball-from-spooky/page/212#post-5466646
Quoted from chooch:Quoted from DanQverymuch: In before the lock... for the 95th time!
There are two TNA threads (one club and one non-club) so why would this get closed? Nobody is forcing you to read this one anymore.
Really? You pick the IBTL post that makes fun of IBTL posts to criticize the IBTL posts with?
Quoted from chooch:Not intentionally and yours just happened to be most recent post at the time I made the comment. If it would make you feel better and rest peacefully tonight I could revise my post to include the IBTL post prior to yours.
That would be great.
Quoted from mof:Can someone kindly post a link to the adult swim pinball episode from a week or two ago.
Apparently it has vanished into the ether. Adult Swim only archives past episodes for a week or so.
Quoted from robotron:very easy. contact a distributor before hand and send them a deposit, they will “officially” sell you a spot the second that spooky starts selling. guaranteed a spot and no phone tag.
I attempted this, and the distrib told me that as a new customer I couldn't have one until day 2, he wanted to make sure his previous customers all got one and he could be sold out before I got one. Well, I wasn't taking any chances and bought direct.
Found out later he was the only distrib to do that AFAIK and I can't say it didn't leave me with a bad taste in my mouth...
No harm, no foul, though, I can't imagine a future theme that could possibly foster a repeat of this scenario.
Well, I've made over 100 posts in this topic (this is 101), so I have unlocked that achievement, so consequently now it's okay if this thread dies!
Simply a case of sentimentality being usurped by reality. Spooky was grateful for their early adopters, can't hold that against them.
But favoritism should never be allowed to degenerate into discrimination...
Quoted from estrader:Looks like a new episode is available on iTunes.
Without looking there, I presume you're talking about this?
https://www.adultswim.com/videos/rick-and-morty/samurai-shogun-rick-and-morty
Spoiler: all this did was remind me that I don't care for anime.
Still a month away, though. Guess it'll be a reward for making it through the next 30 days.
Really can't wait!
Quoted from rai:I have Hulu premium and it has some bleeping. Might have been a specific time or they forgot to delete the bleep.
Update: the series is on HBO Max now, with zero bleeping! Totes malotes, dawg.
Everything "moves" at the speed of light... through spacetime.
We have mass, so it manifests to us as just time, unless we were to somehow accelerate to relativistic speeds. Then our time would actually slow down to compensate.
To a photon, which is massless, a light-year takes no time at all to travel. Trippy stuff!
So how "far away" is a year? Well, just looking at our galaxy's motion relative to the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation of 1.4 million miles an hour towards the "Great Attractor," which swamps all the other motions going on (and I'm not going to try to add all the vectors anyway), it's 365.25x24x1.4e6=12,272,400,000 miles.
So if your R&M is a year away, you could say it's also about 12 billion miles away!
(Note that even 1.4 million mph is not a relativistic speed; light goes 670.6 million mph!)
Quoted from pinballinreno:The standard is the ultra limited edition.
This is a silly thing for people to keep saying. Not clever, or even true.
There was no "limit" to the standards, no "limiting" going on besides the 750 for both models, thus it was not a "limited edition."
The BSE was the overwhelming choice because it is way cooler. A few dozen took the inferior standard edition, maybe to save money, or they just preferred black, or had some prejudice against purple, or perhaps planned to do their own powder coating with some other color (hell, if green was a factory choice, I'd have ordered that).
But implying that the standard is somehow better due to rarity is inane, even if done tongue-in-cheek. Enough already.
Rarity is meaningless without demand!
Now, if you wanted to be funny, you could point out the irony in the fact that the BSE is the standard, numbers-wise, and the Standard is, uh, sub-standard maybe?
Quoted from CKrueger:Also, Brian Posehn wrote the Deadpool pinball script, but he also co-wrote some EXCELLENT Deadpool comics.
Now I understand his tweet today: "Time for another friendly reminder, I am NOT Randy Quaid."

My guess would be you have an Opto or Switch that is not registering properly.
Yes, that should have quickly raised the right drop to keep it trapped, and raised your base jackpot value, giving you credit for having successfully executed a "ball fondling."
Do a switch test on those optos, they might possibly be miswired if it never worked right for you.
