I lost some enthusiasm for pinball recently but this is definitely bringing me back in. I couldn't care less about kids themes or outdated SciFi. Rick and Morty? Sign me the F up!

Just don't screw it up Spooky. Don't hold back.

PICKLE RICK!!!

Quoted from Budman:

I saw it for the first time last week. Horrible / crude show. Unwatchable in my view. This title would never make it into my home.

Your home doesn't sound like a fun place anyone in this thread wants to go to anyway...

Quoted from mzhulk:

They should of kept the spooky theme and created a Evil dead or Halloween pin. Not really interested in this. I doubt they will sell 750 of these.

You can tell who the old guys are just by going through the thread and seeing some of these posts. Guys wondering what this is or suggesting themes that nobody born after 2000 has ever heard of.

Not bagging on any of you for your age but come on, Evil Dead? Halloween? Someone mentioned Munsters? Maybe if you make a pin with a theme that people under 20 have heard about pinball will survive beyond those trying to recapture their youth.

This is the absolute best theme any new pinball machine could have if any new machine could have any theme in existence. I'm so excited I almost shit on the floor.

I'm going to get so fucking schwifty.

Quoted from Vino:

Ok where can I binge on this nonsense?
I have the flu and just had my shot of whiskey.
not a bad time. Thanks

Hulu. Cancelled Netflix...

Quoted from pinstyle:

Nope, you are certainly not alone brother. I know of the show but I have zero interest in it. It seems to me that outside of the 100 people in this thread excited for this the rest are scratching their heads. The only thing I can think of is Spooky is a fan. None the less, if they sell them then that is great for Spooky, and if there are people out there that are excited to have one then that's all that matters.

They literally got people to force McDonald's the multi-billion dollar corporation to re-release a discontinued sauce from the 90's and you think this is only about ~100 people in a pinside thread.

36 pages and nothing about slut dragons?

Guess I'll return to my masturbation cave until some real info is posted.

Quoted from KingofGames:

A Mr Meeseeks multiball.
Everytime you hit the Meeseeks box an extra Mr Meeseeks/ball is added.

But once one drains they all drain?

Quoted from Luckydogg420:

Here ya go. (Season 4 clip, careful for spoilers)

Sooo... Slut Dragon Wizard Mode?

This game really writes itself.

Is that you saying that or Gary?

Sleepy Gary?

Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:

I’m happy Spooky is putting out another machine because pinball is awesome. My only concern is the low production numbers and slow build times. I mean realistically how do you keep the lights on at this rate? Building these things cost money. R & D is expensive. Licensing is expensive. Employees are expensive. I doubt at these production numbers they have made any profit yet. Just from a business standpoint, I’m concerned. Why limit yourself to 750 units if the games turns out to be a hit. Seems like a bad business model.

The 750 figure isn't in stone. I mean, I know they say that's it but if the demand is there for hundreds more I wouldn't throw money away and I doubt they would too.

Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

NAILED IT.

Yes it is, and yes we would.

Well I don't mean to tell you how to business but painting yourself into a corner may bite you and reward flippers rather than Spooky. Would be a shame to see people who put in no work reap the reward.

Happy you're doing this and I'm likely a customer but should it prove that there is much more demand artificially limiting it doesn't make sense and may hurt your fans. You could at least say the number could adjust thereby giving speculators pause and giving yourself an out.

Maybe the reason you got the license was due to agreeing to keep it low volume or else the cost would be too high, who knows.

Either way, looking forward to seeing the portal gun implemented creatively.

Quoted from 2Kaulitz:

I think this game will def sell out pretty fast and my main 2 reasons are below. But that said with a 18 month build time means some will decide to sell there spots because all new pins coming out in that time.
1. Only 750 made with pretty big theme
2. Some will be buying this just to flip because it's limited...

Man has a point...

Quoted from seenev:

I'm just interested enough in this game to want to buy it (assuming it's good), but not interested enough to go through a competitive ordering process or wait 18 months. I figure I'll either come back to it later in the secondary market, or lose interest entirely if it seems too difficult or expensive.

I feel the same way and this is the mature way to go about it IMO.

Super excited about the theme but I'm not joining any clubs or signing up for anything before I at least see the gameplay.

Quoted from seenev:

When do bitter R&M fans start complaining about it being sold out? Remember the whole schezwan sauce debacle?

That sauce was basically free and this is not. The stoner element doesn't have a credit limit that would allow them to purchase this even if they wanted to.

#3439 4 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Unbelievable hype for this one considering no one has played one or seen a stream. Usually once a steam happens is when buyers remorse sets in and people drop out or sell out... happens every release. Was smart not to show a gameplay video especially with non refundable deposit.

Well said.

The theme is doing the heavy lifting...

Quoted from drfrightner:

Most ridiculous post I think I've ever seen on this website. You know we have enough divide in politics and then you bring it to pinball. Who do you think you're to ask a manufacturer to cancel an order. Worse you say you'll donate $100 so they should cancel an order for 7500 for your $100 bucks? HUH how does that math work?
No one agrees with everyone. Kaneda is a person with a podcast and he has opinions choose not to listen or ignore him. You can start your own podcast and have your own opinions and see where you end up. Its America the minute we start banning people from buying things because they express an opinion you don't like, we're no longer America. You should apologize for that comment because its absurd.
Congrats to Kaneda for getting one of these games! Congrats to everyone who got the game they wanted. Congrats to everyone who will buy Guns N Roses, Stranger Things, Elvira or whatever you want! Have fun its pinball. Lets hope people don't start banning people from buying their games over differences of opinion. WOW!
