Quoted from Hazoff:

I guess so, or maybe its because I'm not a dork. Man I need to remind myself where I am sometimes. Enjoy I'm sure a lot of you will love to put this in a row with The Simpsons and Family guy.

Dude you play pinball, by definition you are a dork!

Quoted from o-din:

A thought has been going thru my head. I remember when South Park saved pinball soley on theme. For some reason, when I think about it, this is about the most excited about a theme as I have been since then.

And, Rick and Morty is already a much better game than South Park.

Quoted from ThatOneDude:

It's a theme my kids and I all love. Now I've got to choose between House of Horrors and this.

honest reply... Go play HOH and go read the owners thread to see the pretty much constant issues many of us have been having.
EHOH is a mess out of the box. I suggest waiting that one out no matter what/where you spend your NIB money.

on the flipside, it seems R&M is going to sell quick (possibly before any of us get to play it due to FOMO?)

#354 4 years ago

Stern can keep Godzilla .

#355 4 years ago

Very cool theme, love the show! Great news for Spooky, it’s about time someone makes stuff from shows/topics of today

#356 4 years ago

Sweet, and releasing by the end of the year? Very interested to see the game!

My premium hoh plays perfect out of the box.

I must live in a cave, never heard of rick or morty.

#358 4 years ago

so when do we get to see the layout, art, etc...?

I can't believe I got to wake up in a reality where a R&M is being made. What a time to be alive.

I thought maybe they would be delivering the first ones then?
Was hopeful for details today

#362 4 years ago

750 seems a little low for a title this popular.. Pending on photos, I may have to sell my tron and buy this as its a dream theme for the wife and I.

Thanks

I think expectations are way out of wack on this. They MAY ship a game or two by then, but everyone thinking they're shipping these to customers within 20 days is unrealistic.

Christmas 2019 in the teaser, simply means it will be shown by then.

good to know!

The teaser vid left me with lots of excitement and questions

So by Dec 25th we should see full package?

FEATURE REQUEST INCOMING:

Since Justin loves doing the voice work for like, everything obviously, Im sure you will make the family mode pretty freaking hilarious in its own way. Not just a beep fest of the og track, which would also be a funny option as well.

Ive followed Roiland for a long time and this is such good news. Im so hyped you guys.

#367 4 years ago

This is a Grand-slam theme choice for Spooky and will be an instant sell-out. The good news for Stern and other manufacturers is that Spooky is only making 750 of them. It's great to see Spooky making smart theme choices as well as choosing licenses that aren't restrictive. All Spooky games have big name original voice actors and it seems like they are given much more control than licenses chosen by other manufacturers. This really should have the best humor of any pin ever. Knowing the team involved including Scott, Eric P, Bowen, and VanEs I have no doubt this will be Spooky's best game yet.

I'm really excited to see the reveal. I'm not one to buy sight unseen but if the layout and art look good I may be a buyer. It's one of my favorite shows to watch with my infant son when he gets up at 4a.m.

#368 4 years ago

Looking forward to "Roy: A Life Well Lived" multiball.

#369 4 years ago

I must be old or something. I've never even heard of that show. But then again, I rarely watch TV, so that might have something to do with my ignorance.

I'll admit until I joined PS, I had never heard of this one either. Everyone kept clamoring for Rick & Morty as a 'dream theme' and I finally figured out what it was.
My kids who are 18 & 20 are the target demographics I think.

I don't really buy before I play (let alone SEE), but with the people involved in this one and the theme, I'm willing to stick my neck out.

If this is all a practical joke and the playfield is a haunted house bagatelle, I'll sell you mine at a good discount, Mike.

There is only one question, will you end up on the floor of the carpet store or are you taken him off the grid?

Great for Charlie and the spooky team. As always we can't wait to get our games from Chris at Kingpin. Looking forward to adding another group of spooky games to our route.

I truly haven't been this excited about a new game since TZ was new. Everything I've seen to date, has this game on track to being a smash hit. They've nailed everything!

Yes, full package, photos, video, flyer, and all details coming soon. This is what Christmas 2019 refers to. Not games shipping.

It would be super cool though if they were smashing away at 10 per week as I type and had a bit of a stockpile waiting at least ?

Spooky distributor, PinballSTAR Amusements is taking INTERESTED LIST names for Rick and Morty.

We are Spooky's first (since AMH days) and largest distributor and look forward to taking care of all our regular Spooky customers and hopefully some new ones... Just email Joe at [email protected] and we'll send you what info we have so far - most of which is already out there about the game and Fang Club and we'll be sure to inform you immediately when game is revealed and ordering info is available through our email blasts - sit back, wait, and we'll keep you informed !

I’m getting the impression joining the Fang club is the only way to get a chance for one of these. You think Supreme people are rabid? Betta grab your popcorn with extra butta

#378 4 years ago

I don't really get this one but looks to be a hit with the fans. Hope this is a huge hit with Spooky and we start seeing more pins with more modern themes. Stern themes in past few years: Elvira, Jurassic Park, Iron Maiden, Beatles, Munsters, Star Wars trilogy, Black Knight, Aerosmith, Batman, Ghostbusters. I love some of those games but old themes get, well... old.

#379 4 years ago

Another theme that I have no interest in. I will just add it to the WOZ and Hobbit list.

#380 4 years ago
Quoted from Coz:

I missed that looking at the two right-hand flipper buttons.

#381 4 years ago

Gonna join the Fang Club and see what happens. Let's roll Jerrys.

#382 4 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

I bet this is going to kill it on location. Every location.
Will 750 units be enough?

No

#383 4 years ago

I’m glad Spooky is keeping firm to a sustainable business model, but I wish that sustainable meant a zero could be added to the end of that build number.

+1 for Adventure Time…after I get my R&M.

Well said! I'm currently looking for an EM with a wrecked/planked play field to sand down and turn into Adventure Time...algebraic!

then don't buy it and just wait for stern to release an older title like the monkeys, I love Lucy, etc.

Ok here is one with 23 million

EDIT: or this 19 million views one

Sorry just watched the clips for the 1st time. Don’t get it, DUMB. Looks like a men n black cartoon rip off. Oh we glad others are happy. REN and Stimpy I discovered late but much better or Aqua Teen Hungerforce.

"It's both a lion and *uurp* a man, Morty! It's the *beeeelch* Lionman, Morty!"

I'd like to see a Simple Rick mode... where the sounds all turn into old school chime noises.

'60 iterations of the central finite curve, there's a Rick that works more with wood, than with polarity plating. His name is Simple Rick, but he's no dummy. He loves old school pinball'

And it would be nice to see the Jaguar fly in for a ball save on the screen.

Thanks for making this Spooky - super excited to see it in action.

This show isn't really something you can get an impression of through clips. There's a lot of hidden stuff in the plot lines as well. If the clips you were referring to are the ones I linked they don't really portray what the show is at all.

#392 4 years ago
Quoted from MikeS:

Knowing the team involved including Scott, Eric P, Bowen

as I understand it, this is Eric on code!

also, dont forget David VanEs for what is arguably the best video dude in the business currently.

#393 4 years ago
Quoted from mrgone:

Important to note. If word gets out to the non Pinhead Rick and morty fans this game will sell out in seconds.[quoted image]

Unfortunately most buyers outside the pinball hobby community would struggle with the idea of "what do you mean I have to wait almost a year? Why don't you have any for me to buy now?"

And if Spooky allows all their build capacity to be pre-sold and built first... that's exactly what will happen.

They should consider allocating a group of inventory in the mid-to-early run that would be made together as a batch that can be sold via another means not simple pre-order. The value of 'immediately available' would demand a premium, drive the idea of scarcity, and open up other sales channels. If for some reason the games didn't sell.. you could always put them back into the queue of fullfilment for pre-sold games.

This is the negative of pre-selling your allotment.. it hinders what you can do sales wise (or some would argue.. negates the need to do any selling). I'd propose they need a bit of both...

Can all you guys who feel the need to tell us how much you dislike the TV show go start a thread in off-topic? Half of this thread is filled with people arguing over each others' opinions of various TV shows.

Rick and Morty is dark physics humor. You have to be somewhat literate (erudite) to get it. Anyone who thinks the show is stupid is probably a very imagine-less, boring person in real life. The opportunity for Spooky is to use the massive number of witty truisms in various call outs. There are so many, they can probably have several games without repeating themselves. Honestly, first time I watched Rick and Morty I was stupefied at how clever the dialogue was. Brilliant!

Rick and Morty is DUMB, but you think ATHF is good? Interesting......

#398 4 years ago

Please Spooky, make the 750 LE, so i have a chance to get a standard one. Bet the 750 will sell out quick.

#399 4 years ago

Definitely in. How much extra do I have to pay for a Mr. Meeseeks to teach me how to play?

I saw it for the first time last week. Horrible / crude show. Unwatchable in my view. This title would never make it into my home.

Your IQ has to be above 100 to appreciate the wry humor.
