I'm not sure. I'll stick to pinball for fun and the stock market for investing. My point was that someone buying a slot so far out could get tired of waiting.

Anyone else having a delay on hearing about their order from C137 designs for custom image from R&M? When I ordered, it said 7-10 days, but I'm going on day 12.

I ordered Jan 30th, still haven't heard from them...
Has anyone here who missed the original buy in obtained a spot without shelling out more than the deposit value?

Well considering that Rick and Morty sold out in four hours, pinsiders probably put a bunch of orders in at C137 designs.
They must be backed up!

Can’t imagine why. Their art doesn’t look anything like R&M character designs. Not sure if that’s a talent issue or a legal issue. Either way, they’re grifting on someone else’s IP.

It’s pretty cool either way, I almost ordered one. I still might. 
30 games sitting in the warehouse ready to ship. 10 more the guys are finishing up to be boxed next week also and i do not anticipate that slowing down anytime soon. Waiting on approvals to ship the stock has nothing to do with physical build here. We have a pretty good handle on the build already. Sounds like everything needed to ship everything here will be in place before next week.

Got a BS edition in the low 200's through a distributor for $8,500.00. With shipping and tax I think it came out to around $9,400.00. Not the easiest pill to swallow, but with the low number and I game I really want, I'm okay with it.

That really sucks if distros are holding some back and upping the price. I guess it's a free world for them to do so but I wonder if Spooky is aware and ok with this?

I'd be very curious to know who it is as well. Doubt we'll get to find out. I ordered from Spooky but talked to 2 distributors. Would like to think they are above that but who know.

Was this the distributor directly or were they being the middle man for someone that wanted to sell their spot?

#2 (Madison Pinball) and #12 (other hobby operator in town) will be on route as soon as Spooky is able to give the thumbs up for pick up, so there will be 2 out in Madison in the near future.
Guessing there are at least 2 others in the region that will go out quickly (Logan in Chi) and (Tilt in MN) but that is just a guess.
I am thinking with 40 games soon to be ready, there will be tons of opportunity to play for anyone willing to travel a couple hours at most.

That's about what a (my) machine costs once you consider all the bells, whistles, taxes and delivery so I would expect to see much higher than that.

This auction seems off to me. The owner of this spot should know exactly what number they have, not the "range" as if a guess. I hope the buyer 100% works out the details before payment is sent.

Lol, there will likely be a used game market by then.
Same thing happened with early tna .. People were paying 8-9k for tna for the first 6 months or so. Soon after you cld get a spot for less than it was nib.. It happens bc people cant wait and once enough are out it stops. Will see what happens I guess...

Ummmm....I agree that the markup is impressive but $1500 (the deposit amount) plus tax is not half of $2125. That is “only” a $478 markup. Of course, that figure has since risen since we are now at/near end of auction.
Ok - now it’s doubled (and then some).

It's a standard, so only 1K on the deposit.
