I got to put a hour on one about a month ago.
I can't express how much I enjoyed the theming, callouts, music, sound fx, and lightshow. As a theme, it connected to me in a way I don't think another new pin has since TSPP. In these regards, it's an amazing pinball machine.
But I fundamentally disliked the way it shot. It simply feels off. The game also has an emptiness feeling. Some stuff™ could be added to make it feel more alive, but I'll still dislike the shots.
I don't think it's even that poor a shooter. It's that I feel a large discrepancy between how much I want to like the game, and how I feel as I play it.
I'm sure if I owned one, I would grow to like the shots. And the theme integration would keep me coming back while I gnash my teeth. But just stepping up to it; it didn't feel right.
Which is a shame, because I think they're doing a lot of very interesting things with it. I simply don't love playing the pinball part as much as I love the theme, which leaves a meh taste in my mouth.
