    Quoted from MD_Pinball_Dude:

Blew out many an eardrum playing Shoo Be Doo and letting it cross over into Candy-O at full volume. RIP

You and me both buddy. That combo lives on in my favorite gym mix. Gets me pumped every time.

Saw them live on the Panarama tour. They were like cardboard cutouts! But the music was sublime.

Their first album will always be a testament to how simple rock and roll can be, and still be an absolute tour de force. I always love how “Just what I needed” is the exact same chord progression as “I want to hold your hand”. Genius.

    RIP Ric.

That is a great transition into Candy-O. They had a double greatest hits a decade ago, and it had a lot of b sides including a Night Spots demo, The Little Black Egg, a Iggy Pop cover, and some other oddities.

The first album gets the most airplay, but all of their albums were strong, especially Heartbeat City, with it's great title track, Magic, and the other singles. If you have never listened to Door to Door which was the last album with Ben, it's worth a listen, especially "Strap Me In", with Ric at what he did best.
