Can you post a pic of what exactly they use? Are you talking about socketed bulbs?
There are traditional 5mm LEDs with the 4 leads, but they're not as bright as the SMDs usually used in pinball.

Weird! What voltage do those use? Are they RGB+? Might be easier just to connect LED strips that are cheap and more readily available.
Shopping at Pinball Life, I noticed they have these. Maybe they'd be useful.
