Quoted from arakissun:Any idea what to check?Everything is new on the flippers.
I read many things for this type of problem(may be),but if I can see everything is right here.
Checked the voltages to the coils and they are 72V,I think this is OK.
Is there difference if EOS are not soldered correctly,to be honest I didn't search to compare how they must be.
And if EOS have some connection with the coils to get hot,I think it's not.
Most "recent" WMS games don't use the EOS to engage the hold coil. For the most part, its to reengage the power coil if the ball knocks the flipper back down (when coming down from a failed ramp shot, for instance). Generally the software gives the power coil two pulses and then engages the hold coil automatically until the button is released.
One thing I'd check is in coil test, make sure your hold coils and power coils work correctly. Also check the P2K driver board with the game on attract mode (for a couple minutes) and see if any of the ICs are getting hot. Obviously don't touch the ones with a heat sink. Any timing problems or voltage problems can cause the switch matrix ICs (near the lower right of the board) to start heating up. You'll also usually smell them.
One thing at a time. You'll get this fixed soon enough!
