Just curious, why not keep the original CRT? I think they look the best, especially in terms of black levels.

Not to push the issue of using the original CRT, but have you adjusted it? There are controls on the neck board and sometimes on a little satelite board as well. I'm just a big fan of the CRT. Mine looked lousy when I got it, but a $20 cap kit and about an hour of work had it looking perfect again. If you do go with an LED or LCD, make sure you get that old CRT to an arcade collector and not the dump!
