Okay, so I got an RFM and joined the club. Now what to do next? My machine has code 1.2, so I will be updating to 1.5. Can I update past that without needing more RAM?

Which mods do you all recommend? The spinning saucers are super sweet, but not available any more The 3D/lenticular translite is also cool, although pricey. Is it worth it? How does it look with the lamp behind it?

Quoted from Ricochet:

Go here... https://mypinballs.com/
You'll find RFM stuff there... and there are plenty of folks in this forum that have supported applejuice's work on this title... he has made some really terrific updates to this title.
Get yourself upgraded to 2.21
Get a shaker/knocker loom and get yourself a shaker... knocker is great too but the shaker is a super upgrade to this title.

Thanks for the info! Any recommendations on a shaker? Sounds like the Stern ones are harder to set up?

Quoted from applejuice:

Are you asking about my rgb saucer mod? as I still make kits when I get time, just need to ask. I actually have 1 kit in stock right now. The website may say out of stock but that’s because orders often run away if I don’t control it these days. I like to make sure items can ship quickly if I take people’s money

Updated to 2.21, donated, and ordered the shaker/knocker loom. Great job on the software updates! Do you have a link to the saucer mod? I was unable to find it on the website.

I was coming from version 1.2 straight unto 2.21, so it made a world of difference. Love the new animals in Beam-O mode (ant and spider). Funny side note - my 12-year old son saw the rat in the translite and asked me "How do we unlock the rat?" I had to explain to him that was probably just for the translite.

Quoted from Puffdanny:

The lenticular translite is amazing imo worth every penny.i have code 1.6 without updating ram but that was before the Applejuice updates so I need to update mine to his newest code.

Man, I wish those 3D translites would go on sale.

Okay, noob question here:

I had a couple of good games on my new RFM and saved my initials for high scores. However, after turning off the game and powering up again, my high scores are gone. Has happened a couple of days in a row. I changed the battery on the PC motherboard, but no luck. Any idea what saves the high scores on this game? Is it the prism card battery?

Quoted from applejuice:

Yep i have both the proper batteries and the separator tool available.

PM sent.

Quoted from Asure:

I joined the club!
Not my first pin: I owned a TZ and ToM years ago before they went up in price, and sold them back in the day as well which i regret.
I'm kind of a sad panda as after moving the machine to my place, the pc does not seem to boot up properly, and as such the playfield does not come on.
A bit of background, i've been in pc hardware since the 90's so i know my stuff, but reseating the RAM and Prism card did not seem to help.
It still has the original PSU but voltages are good and it makes no noise, i know i need to check the caps, and replace the PSU as a safety measure soon.
Mainboard looks pristine, no bulging caps in sight. All cables seem to be connected properly as well.
I guess i need to re-check everything, but just a quick question, does the PC boot from Prism if the LPT cable is not connected?
Must the lpt cable be connected in order to boot up from Prism? What lights should i see on a working card and/or power board?

Welcome to the club! Sorry in advance for the dumb question, but did you push the button in front of the PC metal case (behind translite)? I only say that because I made the same mistake when I first got it (the stupid thing doesn't even look like a power button, if you ask me). Hopefully it's that simple
