I have an issue with my Flourescent lamp on my rfm. I have replaced the lamp, the starter, and the ballast, but it will not turn on. I have verified 120v ac at the three wire connector between the white and black wire. I have verified continuity between all the wire end points. That leaves me with a bad wire job or fixtures. Any one have any idea?

How about ditching all of that and getting an LED tube?

#3 9 years ago

Have you checked the clips in the tube holders for continuity?

@ WOLf - yes I did. Every test-able point is good so far. So its either bad wiring or fixtures....

@ nosro - just ordered:

Hey cool, let us know how it turns out.

I just took some 12V led tape and put it on the computer and removed the entire light bracket on mine. Powered it off the computers power supply. Mine did not have the light bracket in it when I got it and I did a Nucore and LCD because my monitor was shot.

I have NUCORE also, but replaced the monitor with an LCD. I had to do surgery on the monitor mount to make it work, but its stable now. That enables me to install the LAMP fisture and since its at the right height, I figure I'll use it. But now it will have to ba an LED lamp instead of a flourescent one.

Now I have a functional CRT with mount an boards - what should I do with it?

I figured this one out. Even after checking for voltage, I decided to trace the harness and found it was not connected. I connected it and my LED tube is a bright as day...
