Hi everyone,

Longtime fan, first time poster here on Pinside.

I have a Revenge From Mars machine that we are allowing our youth group to use. Machine has been working great since February; however, now the machine freezes after about 20 minutes of play. Running the ROM diagnostic tool gives the attached error. I have replaced the CR 2032 battery on the motherboard, re-seated the PRISM card, and triple checked connections, but the issues are still occurring.

Any thoughts? We are hoping to get this up and running for Sunday afternoon.

UPDATE: Checked all of the fuses and they seem to be okay. As of about ten minutes ago, the machine now has issues with the display. The game freezes right after pressing the start button. I have attached images of what we are experiencing.

UPDATE:

--software is 1.4 (see image below)

-- after being turned off all night, turned it on and all of the errors went away. The machine played fine for all of about five minutes and then completely froze. (see second image below)

-- Turned everything off and disconnected CPU. Reseated prism card, reconnected everything, and fired it back up.

-- ran the are ROM diagnostic a few times and the results are very inconsistent. Sometimes all are showing as bad, sometimes none are showing as bad, sometimes one or two are showing as bad.

-- just played a few games and it seems to be working except that the background music is missing.

This thing is more inconsistent than a GBLE playfield :-/
