Looking forward to seeing how this turns out

    Quoted from PinDeLaPin:

Anybody know if theres an LED bulb that I can use to swap out these old #55 bulbs?

I would purchase 1 or 2 different led pinball bulbs in various colors to find something you like. (comet, coin taker, marco, pinball life, pinball resource, etc) They are 6 volts.

    Quoted from AlexF:

I believe these bulbs are the larger style not like a standard pinball bulb. Do they make an LED in that size?

The envelope (glass part) is larger but the base is the same as a standard pinball bulb. They do make a variety of types but the standard ones are the cheapest. Note - on my machine I purposely kept the original bulb type as I prefer the look. But I do have mine set to shut off the "drum" lights after the game is done.

Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:Definitely not trying to tell you what to do, but I think I'd put my worst looking (burnt) reels on player 6, since 6 player games will be fewer and farther between. That's what Clay says.

That's what I say also. Hmmm, I probably picked that up from Clay

    Quoted from PinDeLaPin:

So far I only needed the one coil because when I took it apart the coil fell and basically unraveled

As you learned those coils can come apart. A couple I had to clamp together while I had the mechs apart. Plus I learned to gently tug on the ends to see if it would pop apart and unwind - thus helping me figure if I could leave it dangling by it's wires.

    Quoted from PinDeLaPin:

Old ball was missing a chunk the size of a dime[quoted image]

Oh, that's the professional ball. The divot is there so you can really put some spin on it

    Quoted from Bowlerguy:

St. Louis Ball Bowlers has replacement blades and can make new ones like the photo attached.[quoted image]

    That's excellent news

Nice! I used new brass screws from the local ACE hardware store for mine.
