Hi All!

I have reworked the RAD CALS as many requested that the decals should be bigger and go to the edge. There is no more painting needed then. On this MM cabinet I have recessed the screws so that they are under the decals and are no longer visible. The holes for the flipper buttons and shooter button or shooter have to be cutted when they are attached, the Start button hole will be routed.

There is a special offer for this new product of 369 USD shipped instead of 439 USD shipped as regular price.

If you buy 2 or more sets same time there is an additional discount of 30 USD per set.

No the corner is not too sharp, worst case you can always break it a little with a sandpaper but I would not do it.

The only problem is when is the licence cleared... I would love to get all going.... The proto test playfields are already done and production is ready to go...

Both tz and dr who would mean to get the 3rd party licence for the art which would be expensive. I would be willing to do a preorder list and if there is enough demand for these titles I would try to get the 3rd party licence.

Any suggestions how to handle that?

I try to correct it wherever it is possible. The question is if the artwork allows to be squeezed there. If it is a vector file it is no problem. As ij was only screen printed so far the films will have to be scanned and fixed on the computer anyway so the bad alignment will be corrected there. I hate the look of not matching corners as well!

I use a normal drill bit for regular holes and for holes like flipper buttons a hand milling machine like a dremel. The length should fit but if necessary it can be cut with a scicers...

It is very easy to put them on, with the new version there is not even painting needed, just put them over the old decals and you are done. It looks nice if you hide the screws under the decals, so they become invisible.

I'm not sure which cabinet art files Rick has already done, but these can be done fast, for anything else I need a scan of the cabinet of the screens...

It is not only easier to restore the cabinet - the cabinet looks so great with them due to the surface that it is definitely worth changing into this decal version. The glossy surface look gorgeous!

As I'm not very familiar with system 11 maybe someone can help me here - are all sys 11 cabinets the same size? I know that banzai is different, I have one of these but are all others the same? There are two different siderail lengths available...

The material is pretty durable, but of course it would scratch like a regular decal would do as well. The print will not be damaged, but the surface. It is possible to repair the surface for example same way you can fix cell phone displays with filling the scratch and polishing it. They are more durable than a normal decal which would have a scratch immediately if you hit it with something sharp for example during transport...

As Johnny Mnemonic is a 3rd party licence as well it is not sheudled right now. Same for all Data East titles...

The sys 11 siderails have a pretty large radius in the front which would produce a sharp small piece right under the lockbar which would not stick to the cabinet et very well. The disadvantage is that there is part of the black glass trim on both side visible. Basically it is not a problem to do the same for wpc cabinets but I would not prefer that option. It is easier to install them with the siderail attached as well as you have something you can hold it to on the top....

The ink is guaranteed UV save for 6 years in direct sunlight and the plastic on top will add extra years as well. Unless you put the machine outside in the sun for years you should be fine....

I can do i500 upon request, need to check on that with pps.

Unfortunately I have not seen a bad cats in person so far. From the pics it looks like a solid orange. Not sure how well the digital printer can match that exact color. I would need a piece of unfaded print to measure it with my color measure system. As I have an 8 color printer we have a good chance. Worst case the orange could be screen printed but that would mean that we need a few people who like the set as screen costs would raise the price...

Basically any title pps has on their website as decal is possible fast.

So far no movement from disney.

Star wars is a disney licence as well. Maybe I can work something out for both titles, but right now I don't have it. I will keep working on that.

I did countersink the playfield bolts on all cabinets I did without any issues...

To be honest I did not a special bit, I used a small hand milling machine called dremel with a small bit and just cutted if off by hand. Yes the cutout does not look that nice but is functional. After that I put in the screw and put some polyester filler over it. After sanding it only at that place it was even and the rad cal was put over it.

Planetary has some of my parts and Pinballsales.com has almost complete inventory. But in many cases shipping from Germany is cheaper as I have a really good fedex rate. And shipping usually takes just 2 days.

I'm on vacation right now and have limited access to parts to take pictures at this time. You can order any parts via PM or email if they are not listed in the shops. Please understand that I don't want to put much time of the vacation into listing parts in the shops...

I have some pics of radcal sets which were taken with protective film on top, so that are not shiny until it is taken off. But the colors should be ok.

Unfortunately I do not have bsd pics at this time. I will ask my crew to take some on Monday.

At this time I do not have judge dredd or dr who as both are 3rd party licences we don't have right now. Creature and stargate will happen soon as both licences are active now. Same for their playfields and any other art related stuff.

It looks like Rick has slugfest decals available so it shouldn't be a problem to get radcals made. Just need the cabinet dimensions to verify everything....

Creature is in preparation. As well as many others. But I have no free machine time in the next few weeks so new projects have to wait a little. Sorry for that! This is also delaying more new playfield titles. I will get another router in 4 weeks which will add more capacity...

I can't say right now if I will be at expo in person as we are expecting a baby end of October or early November so I have to decide just before expo if I can go or not. Not sure yet how I arrange that but there is still some time left...

Right now I'm really busy and do not have much time for any repro stuff but we are adding more capacity right now which will change that again in two or 3 weeks.

I will do my best to have ij parts ready soon.

Yes, i will definitely not be at expo. We expect the baby to be born on Friday next week. But rob will have a booth with some of my playfields there.

I will not put radcals in the box except a sample set to see how they look like. It is too complicated for someone who does not know all parts to keep the sets together. If someone want to order a set for pick up I can still add them till tomorrow noon my time.

New people make progress and we are running two shift now... I will have some more time for repros shortly.

Yes all System 11 radcals go under the siderails, all wpc X radcals end below the siderails. On system 11 the front corner would not look nice without the art going to the top and if I cut the area off we would have a sharp spot...

On the cabinets I have done so far I did countersink all cabinet screws so that they are invisible. It is just a little more filling the holes after that, but the result is great!

Any art is possible, biggest challenge is to create a good art and the right cut file. I have some more files here I'm working on but my time to set up these files is limited and ij took more time to rework all original issues than expected. But it is finished now and is currently printing...
