Hi, i need some help to fix my RFM.
Someone put a remote on/off power in front of the cabinet but not well insulated.
I tried to put this switch ''on'' but i shorted it on coin box metal and it made some sparks.
Now the game boot and goes to attrack mode but with message ''coin door open'' and nothing more is working
no buttons and i can't get into test mode. I checked all fuse and they are ok.
The interlock switch is ok and even if i push or pull this switch nothing happen.

I really need help with this problem, RFM is down ....

You may need a pro. Very possible high power AC went through the game in places it shouldn't. Sorry.

For an unknow reason the start button is now working.
I can play manually but of course no coils is working.
I tried to narrow the problem, removed the J114 connector and ground pins
10-11-12-13 to acces test mode. Test mode is working that way.

Fuses that are okay - did you pull and check with a meter ?

Ok, i'm new for repair testing and i found that grounding J113-2 interlock coin door removed the message ''coin door open''
and coils are working

Check diodes at the flippers. I'd assume that somewhere a diode has to be damaged from sending voltage through a ground, possibly on the power driver board itself. https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-pinball/R/Revenge_From_Mars_OPS.pdf check page 99 and 94

This thread is getting old, but I may have a similar problem. I was lucky enough to pick one up, played at sellers, then brought it home. Put it together and everything looks good except I get that "coin door open" message. I did find one of the leads to the back side of the door close switch (beneath the 9 pin serial plug) had worked itself loose, but when placed back on, and attempted again, I still get the "coin door open" message.

I had to leave the very next day, so I haven't had time to do a proper check of all possible fault areas, but I am curious if you were finally able to solve your issue?
