I just picked up and early run TZ and noticed it doesn't have a high voltage disconnect switch when you open the coin door,

So everything's still active if you remove the glass and its caught me off guard a few times today while cleaning,

Is there a way to retrofit one? I know later on in the production run WMS started putting them in, I want to do the same,

Approximately 1/3rd of the run didn't have it, second third had it, not wired in. Last third had it and it was wired in.

I'd start by checking the last version of the manual and see if it has the wiring.

Otherwise check a similar manual like DemoMan and check the wiring in it and copy it.

I have the early production white cover manual, Not the red cover with the little twilight zone pictures on it,

I'll hunt around online for a red cover manual and see if I can follow the wiring diagrams,

I was wondering if you ever found out how to do this. I want to add a interlock switch to my early run tz. I have no clue how to wire it. what board do the wires go into that I would have to add to wire the switch. Is it a connector on the coin door interface board?
Thank you parker

Quoted from Parker_tz:

I want to add a interlock switch to my early run tz.

Follow the wiring schematics of later games that had it. Or find a later game with it and study the wiring. Or find the switch and wiring from a parted out game.
