IMO This era of Bally games is one of the best to start learning about pinball electronics. How much electronics do you know, such as how to use a meter or how to read schematics? What condition are the boards inside? Any corrosion damage? Your limitations are only limited to your skills, your time, and your wallet. I enjoy working on neglected games but "full restoration" is difficult and expensive. I define my work as partial restoration. Kind of a pick and choose of what items I can do. For instance, on the Harley Davidson I am working on I have not been able to find replacement cab art, so I have to settle on repair and touchup of what is there - for now. Enjoy the process, read and learn, and welcome to the pinball restoration hobby.
