On my Williams machines, playfield lighting is powered by a braided wire stapled to the bottom of the playfield. (I suspect this was originally stapled in place before all the components were installed, so I see no easy way to work with this wire without wreaking havoc.)
Simple question: If I need to move or reattach this wire, what is the best way to do so? Do you use a simple staple gun to attach it?
Related question: For stripped playfield holes, I'd like to use T-Nuts. However, I worry about the close proximity of conductive material to this braided wire. Since these are connecting only plastic posts, perhaps I need not worry about it. However, I do wonder if I'm better off trying some of the toothpick hacks or switching to slightly larger screws?
Thanks in advance for your tips and tricks.
