The switch is probably OK. Just full of goo from a missing beer seal. The coin door connector block may have some bad pins that need replacing:

Quoted from mof:

Is this a normal coin door switch for the audits?
The one on the right, starts the "all in one" test
And the one on the left doesn't do anything... perhaps it's a bad switch.

Quoted from mof:

Trading off less chatter for less action... hmmm...
I have the new front leaves resting perfectly gently against the rubbers, and the rear blades have a 1/8" gap in there to reduce chatter. I'm wondering if the Stern system for slings has some sort of design flaw that allows for more chatter. The couple times when I have installed new sling switches in a Williams sys11, there is less chatter, AND there is more action.
I have much to learn. I know these sling arms have a lot of play in them, and like a bass guitar string, these sling rubbers are moving a LOT when struck and bounce back far, and so that's why I put a 1/8" gap in there. Perhaps I can take a movie later, and learn how to get slow-mo to work...

Make sure these pins are installed and the correct size rubbers are in place. I usually take the light shield off and keep playing with the gap until I'm happy. It can be a pain to get them right.

Here is a thread I did on making blue posts by coloring clear facetted posts from PBR:

The original posts are blue. They turn red over the years from UV light.

Quoted from mof:

Trying out new blue star posts. I have no idea what this stock color is -- almost a burgundy. It's just a color that doesn't go with the theme color palette at all, so I figured moving to blue would brighten up the game. I look forward to going ALL blue.
Here's a sneak peak.
Now I'm craving blue rubbers on the flippers. *Sigh*
