Probably a silly (or stupid maybe) question.

For my two kids (girls 13 and 14yrs old) i would like to reset the high-score on the X-files, i think it makes it more interesting for them to play. But, i am a little afraid how to reset this in risking resetting more than i want and messing up settings.

Can anyone walk me trough resetting the high scores? Thank you in advance!

Game on, open the coin door. There are 3 buttons to enter you into the Portals Menu. Press the black button to enter Portals. Use the red and green buttons to move left (red) and right (green) on the screen. Use the black button as enter.

Use the green button to highlight the Adjustments (ADJ with a picture of a wrench). Press the black enter button. Highlight the + button and scroll through to adjustment #10, Reset High Scores. Press enter and select YES. This will reset the scores to default high scores. It will not reset them to zero.

Then scroll over and select quit and hit enter.

If you have the manual it's all in there. A copy can be downloaded in PDF format from here: http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/4137/Sega_1997_The_X_Files_Manual.pdf
