Just finished bringing back to life a Rescue 911 and have everything working except the kicking slings.

In test mode, they won't fire.

In game they won't fire but the switches work.

They show 70volts on the + side.

Tried reseating the connector.

Could it be the transistors on the power driver board? Weird that both would be dead.

Any help is appreciated.

Ground the transistors and see.

Fuses good ?

You miss something in putting it back together - were they working before ?

Fuses are good, tested them and I got 70volts at the coil.

I did not take apart the slings, just dropped them down.

I don't know if they were working, this was a routed beater that I breathed some life into. I will take some pics.

Which leg of the transistor do I ground.

Pic of playfield.

Touched up tons and had to clear the touched up areas. Looks pretty good for a players game. Everything works but the slings.

Grounded the top plate of the transistor and nothing on either one. Other fired fine.

Getting warm. Soon this baby is going to be working.

Quoted from DougPiranha:

Metal tab on top of transistor.

If it fires, then from transistor legs to coil is good, and then transistor or something upstream is the issue.

If it doesn't fire, then from the transistor legs to and including the coil there is a break.

Check continuity of each wire from board to coil, then coil.

On my R911 machine they wire tied sooo tight that several wires just broke!

This thing had a wire tie every two inches! You could not cut them for fear of cutting
a wire! Where there is a bend there was not enough slack to allow the wires to curve.

IF yours is like mine, check the bundle of snakes at the rear "pivot".

Two broken wires. Ty loyd.

Game is actually kinda fun. Won't last long but kids love it.

Top jackpot shot is really tough.
