I definitely resemble this. Two years ago when I finally decided to buy a game, I wanted a machine that I loved to play in the "old days", so I got an MMr (mainly because it was fun, what I knew, and readily available). Then as I started looking for the next one, I was focused on other familiar machines...games that I had played and loved. But once I started playing current machines, I enjoyed them just as much or more than the B/W staples from my past.

Without being able to buy every game available, I had to decide whether to get another nostalgic game or one that I could explore, just like I did those in the 90's. It was pricing that really made my decision. Something I already knew, or for just a little more (ok...maybe more than a little), get something fresh.

Thankfully, I haven't had any playfield / cabinet / electronic problems that I've seen on some threads with my games. Then again, I haven't combed every inch looking for them. If I do decide to buy an older game, it would probably be by rotating out the MMr and creating a single "nostalgia" slot in the game room.
