    Quoted from Kneeno:

Planning on doing a full T2 cabinet restoration (chrome edition) with new playfield chrome hardware/ramps etc. . . My question is I’ve seen some that get NEW playfields clearcoated prior to installation. Thoughts/opinions?
    Thanks!
    Mike

manufacturers don't want p/f to last forever . they clear just enough to look good .i just got a cpr gold TAF board , and that's how it was . just enough to look ok . you could see slight ripples in clearcoat of screening color underneath . 6 coats of auto clear on top , its now like a mirror and will outlast standard clear 10 fold. photo after my clear.off the gun, not buffed yet!! my opinion . remember opinions are like belly buttons . we all have one , but they don't hold much water
