Quoted from brenna98:

I think Kirk's last for sale post on facebook was $800. I bet that doesn't include shipping.

It was $650 or best offer.

Bumping this thread.
I started engaging with the folks at VirtuaPin a few months ago, but they ended up ghosting me. I tried reaching out to them again a few days ago, but nothing back so far.
SO...I'm looking for recommendations of repro cabinet makers again.
Has anyone had any experience with Let's Play Pinball? http://www.letsplaypinball.com/cabinets.html

They are no longer in business.

Quoted from yaksplat:

Strip it with acetone, fill in the dings, holes, gouges and corners with bondo, or resin, sand, and you have a new cabinet. It's really simple to make an old cabinet look new again.

If you want it done right, no, it is not that easy.

Quoted from yaksplat:

I'm curious as I've done them and In the process of two more. What's so hard? Unless it was dropped or completely trashed, all of the existing wood is still as good as the day it left the factory. Maybe clamping a corner? I don't know...

You just make it sound like anyone can do it. You need the talent. You need the tools. You need the space. You need the time. Are you doing the inside also? What does your final result look like?

Most people that have done this type of work will tell you it's a shit ton of work. I know it was when I did them.

Quick update: Paul from VirtuaPin got back to me yesterday! I'll be sending him my old Earthshaker cabinet to use as a template. I'll post pics (likely sometime around Christmas or later) once I get the cabinet back.

You will not be disappointed.

Quoted from yaksplat:

Sounds like I should get into cabinet building. How much does a new one run if you don't mind me asking?

I just paid $1325 and that includes shipping. That's for a TAF that will be fully painted and both warning text and patent text screened. Paul will make it most any way you want. Tell him what you want and he'll do it for you.

Here's the info.

Quoted from nlrobert:

Is Virtuapin still operating? I submitted a request for information on the website a couple days ago and haven't received a response. I also PM'd noahfentz directly with no response. I then reached out to Doug at letsplaypinball.com using the email address on the website and it bounced back saying undeliverable.
I'm hoping both companies are doing well and still operating. I just wanted to confirm though.
Thanks

Lets Play Pinball hasn't been around for years.

You might want to call Paul at Virtuapin. I also had trouble when Emailing.

Paul at VirtuaPin still does them. Link in this thread. Long wait but great results.

I've bought many from Paul.

Not sure you'll find better.

Ok great!!! Is he the guy who is/was in CT?

No. Paul's in Michigan.

I think you're thinking of Doug Huse and Lets Play Pinball.

Quoted from qbass187:

Yeah, you’re right. He still around? I’d rather pick up than ship if possible.

He is not. Hasn't been for years.
