**aprons are no longer being made. All stock was sent to planetary pinball. If they’re sold out, they’re gone**

All these statements are old news:
We (Merf's Pins) are continuing to make reproduction aprons and shooters. At this point we're working on early solid state Bally games with the same screen art.

If you want on the preorder list for an apron/shooter, please PM me.
Current Titles in the Queue: Fathom, Eight Ball Deluxe 1980, Centaur, Medusa
Please include: YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND PAYPAL EMAIL.

The total game list includes:
Eight Ball Deluxe - shipping soon
Elektra
Vector
Fathom - shipping soon
Flash Gordon - Complete
Frontier
Skateball - Complete
Xenon - Complete
Rolling Stones
Viking
Nitro Ground Shaker
Silverball Mania - Complete
Mystic
Medusa - shipping soon
Centaur - shipping soon

NOTE: I will take preorders from this list.
Any other titles not in this list, I will collect interest.

These will be made in thicker 18 gauge steel to improve upon the original by offering more rigidity.
These will be powder coated to match the original base color and then screen printed with matched inks.

Price for an apron will be $120 shipped within the USA. International shipping will be calculated based on location.

Please note: I am only collecting order requests for the 4 aprons.
However, I will take requests for others in the list to gauge interest for the next round.

Just thought I'd ask Dave, will these aprons include scorecards? Didn't mention they did, so I assume no. Just thought some custom cards added would be a nice touch. Bet there gonna look nice. May need a EBD when the time comes. .

#5 7 years ago

No, score cards.. I'll let you figure that out.

#6 7 years ago

Fantastic news. In for a FG. Can't wait.

Question though. They will have the credit hole and scorecard tabs?

I just did a Google search, he has already done a Williams apron with proper indents and holes

Not your fault
If a retailer, even a simple hobbyist, should prices a link to his website when announcing a new product.
If you want to sell something ,, you make it as easy as possible for buyers to judge you and your wares

Excellent, some of those Bally aprons feel like they're made of the foil that chocolate bars are wrapped in.

#11 7 years ago

Will you be at Expo with some Sample Pieces. ?? THX>

#12 7 years ago

No Old Chicago??

#13 7 years ago
Quoted from Skins:

Yes, they will be exactly like the original, except in a thicker gauge.

Expo with some Sample Pieces

Not going to expo this year.

Quoted from dasvis:

No Old Chicago??

Not the same screen

#15 7 years ago

These are awesome!

Do you have any plans to reproduce any older Stern aprons in future? I could really use one for Seawitch

#16 7 years ago

Originally it was stated Medusa was going to be done....has this changed or is it further down the road? Any chance you will do the Bally wide body games?

#17 7 years ago

pm sent

So could I. Just finished my restoration.
But, gotta focus on these Ballys first.

We have the art for that one, so it is in the cards.
It's almost the same as these, except for that damn extra button call-out.
Also, FYI.. That's next to be restored in my collection; so you can bet on aprons happening.

Perfect. Thank you for clarifying. Can't wait to get mine. Thanks for taking this project on!

Always on the lookout.....

#23 7 years ago

Get your requests in soon! Production of these will start in the next 2 weeks.

How much additional for the shooter?

Any chance on an Old Chicago apron in the future?

#26 7 years ago

Included in the price.

We would need to gauge interest for this title.

#27 7 years ago

Have to double-check, but I'm pretty sure I'll need an EBD. Any plans to do classic Stern aprons in the future?

#28 7 years ago

That's awesome so you will be able to clean these with out wiping off the labels, you should totally clearcoat them dude!

#29 7 years ago

I am sure I will buy one of these titles right after the aprons sell out. I wish I had the money to buy aprons for games I may never own. I will buy a Meteor apron if you ever make them.

#30 7 years ago

What's the price point for these?

Just finished my Seawitch restoration, minus the apron

Quoted from gmkalos:

able to clean

The finish will be a lot more durable than the finger paint of the past.
Clear it if you wish, but it's unnecessary.

#33 7 years ago

Great response so far! Keep the requests coming.

me too!

these look really nice and I would definitely be a customer for a seawitch apron if you ever get around to the classic stern titles

#35 7 years ago

Centaur please! I was going to try to touch up and clear my original but a new one would look SO choice with new CPR playfield and plastics.

#36 7 years ago

A likely candidate in the future.

Regular and mirrored.

Metallic inks have been discussed...

That brings up a good point. For the Flash Gordon aprons we were batting around the idea to use gold instead of yellow.
But, I suppose people would want it factory...

No labels with these. We will be silk screening just like the originals were done, except this time we will be using much more durable enamel based inks that are resistant to flaking and most cleaners.

Yes, for Flash Gordon, personally I would want it to look as close to factory as possible for sure. I hope you do them as per factory or at least some of them factory to have the option.

#41 7 years ago

I would be okay with either version of FG apron, but sure the majority would opt for orginal. PM sent

#42 7 years ago

Some people paint their FG cabinets with gold instead of the factory mustard color. I'd bet some would like the gold apron.

#43 7 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

That's what I did. It looks way better and true with the movie.

I'm also going to do my medusa cabinet with gold.

#44 7 years ago

I too did gold when redoing my cab , so gold on the apron would be a nice touch

#45 7 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

Regular and mirrored.

I don't think mirroring via screen printing is possible, unless you're printing on the backside of a clear substrate like glass for a backglass or polycarbonate for plastics, and those mirrored inks are very expensive. I know a reflective finish in garment screen printing is only possible when you heat-seal a reflective foil after the garment has already been printed, but even that doesn't really look like a true mirror.

#46 7 years ago

Please do Eight Ball Deluxe in the black for the 1984 edition, too...great effort here!

#47 7 years ago

Considering their are good reasons for gold for FG, I would be happy with either factory or gold really, just appreciative these are being made.

#48 7 years ago

Thanks for the support!
Personally I favor the gold. I will send an email to the FG list when it's closed to get their preference.

#49 7 years ago

+1 for the effort on this , I was having another look at my fg to decide if gold or mustard would look the best and the playfield does have a fair bit of yellow goin on , would be interesting to see how many go with gold vs mustard

Original color match is best.
My 2 cents.
