So I picked up an AFM last year and as part of the deal I got a repro playfield (I believe its a mirco, but could be wrong) and some nice goodies like repro ramps and cabinet decals. Since I don't have the time or knowledge to do a playfield swap I would have to pay someone to do it. I really want the playfield to look beautiful and have that new PF shine to it. I have a mirco in my FH and it looks beautiful. I've also heard awesome things about the restoration jobs by guys like Kruzman and the like on here. All that said, what are the upsides to a playfield swap vs a playfield restoration by one of the pro's on here?

    Repro PFs are very nice.
That said, restored PFs are easier to swap. The holes are all in the right place.
Of course, it needs to be a good restoration and those are pricey.

You made a great purchase. I love my AFM. I don't see it ever leaving.
