Quoted from Aurich:I seriously think that instrumentals might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. I get the love for the originals, truly, makes perfect sense. But I think songs without lyrics have a lot more longevity when it comes to playing a game, that you'll likely play over, and over, and over. Hearing the songs constantly.
And remember, the game is going to be playing not only sound effects over the music, but also a ton of movie clip dialogue and call outs...
I appreciate the reply. I had considered repetition of lyrics to be a potential issue however there are plenty of games that play songs with lyrics including Metallica and AC/DC. These are some of the most popular machines. The issue I have is that if someone is going to spend 9K on a TBL pinball machine, they are almost certainly going to be huge fans of the movie, like myself. That said, I want the game to be as representative of the movie as possible. Therefore, changing up the soundtrack, reducing the number of video clips, and even modifying the playfield (i.e., removing the pot leaf) is a negative for me. This has gone from a sure-fire purchase to a wait-and-see.
