Quoted from pin2d:My concern is that this is one of the tournaments that gets the most publicity for competitive pinball ... What if in 2019 it sells out in 15 seconds instead of 30/45, and Elwin, Sharpes, Gagno, etc. weren't able to get tix the short window? It's a bad look for pinball for the biggest pinball tournament in the world to not have the top names in the field. This - and all the major tournaments - should have the the most talented pinball players in the world included, if they want to be there.
IMO it seems like there should be something for the top 20ish IFPA players to have dibs on a spot. That still leaves a lot of spots for the masses.
Just my $0.02.
I think having a top 25 "seed" players guaranteed spots make sense - kind of like in tennis majors. Still 95% of tickets for everyone else.
