    Quoted from jar155:

5 tickets at a time seems like it ruined availability immediately. Just curious, why the move to 5 at once?

    Can’t follow this argument ...

If you could only buy one ticket, then you’d have 840+ people all logging on at the same time, and you’d still get the same result.

Multiple sales help out guys like me and Colin McAlpine who bring a family ... I needed three tickets, if I only managed to get one then not much point travelling half way around the world.

    Quoted from Scorch:

I agree with this. I lived for 5 years in Germany (Hannover), and the one big difference is that in US, you don't really need to carry very much cash around

I’m the opposite. I carry cash when I travel.

If you use a CC overseas, the company charges a conversion fee on every transaction.

So I go to an ATM, withdraw $800 USD (the maximum) and you only pay one fee.

Hotels, cars etc are booked with Hotels.com and Expedia (same outfit anyway) and they bill my card in NZ dollars, so no fees.

    Easy peasy.

Also - every time I come to the USA, someone rips my VISA number and starts buying shit a few months after I leave. Then the card gets cancelled and I have to change all my auto payments etc. Pain in the ass. So now I don’t let my VISA cards out of my sight.

Wow Dave!! You are really coming from NZ to Replay?? Now THAT is dedication!! I wonder who will be traveling the farthest distance this year? And I complain about driving 3hrs to get there lol.

There are a bunch of Aussies here. Just ran into some of them.

They are 2 hours fly time further than me, so they get the prize.

    KENNYWOOD
I’d head over right now. I think they do $30 after 5pm.

    Yep, $27.99 for 5pm to 10pm.

We were there last night ... no crowds, it was awesome. We did all the coasters in just over an hour. That’s the way to do it!

    FYI - It’s 5:55pm.

If you’re not already at Kickback - don’t bother. It’s full already.

The haven’t started the registration as yet .. but the queue is out the door.

Kickback is looking good BTW. Cool place.

    Quoted from NicoVolta:

Competitive pinball (specifically Pinburgh and big tournaments like it) is a legitimate high-energy, high-intensity sport. I've played a few local tournaments just for fun, but none have come close to anything like what I just experienced over the last 30 hours

    Good post.

Anyone who says Competitive Pinball isn’t a sport has either not played it or doesn’t know anything about it.

It’s hard as f**k! Endurance is a huge part of it. So different to a Tuesday night league down at the local bar. Chalk and cheese.

    Quoted from NicoVolta:

No, becoming a professional pinballer is a matter of mindfuless and consistency... especially consistency

    Nailed it.
