    I'm in.

    #52 4 years ago

Does anyone know if the ColorDMD guys will be there? I was thinking about picking one up. Would prefer doing it at the show.

    1 week later

I have a set of replacement playfield rails for IJ I can bring to the show. They are made out of oak and finished with black lacquer. $50.

    #55 4 years ago

In for Pinburgh, but plan to check out as much of the rest of the show as possible.

    #56 4 years ago

In for Pinburgh, 4th year in a row. Five of us riding 12+ hours from Alabama!

2012, tied for 33rd in A, 2 wins away from qualifying.
2013, tied for 87th in A, 12 wins away from qualifying
2014, tied for 25th in A, 1 win away from qualifying!

With 40 players now making the finals, could this be the year I finally get in?

Neuro you know we be there as well!

Yeah, Buffalo, WNY and CNY will be well-represented this year!

Might make the drive from South Jersey, never been to this show, how does it compare to expo or texas??

    #60 4 years ago

No one knows: it's the first one. It's got the PAPA collection, which is HUGE, and will all be in the building.

    Quoted from cyclone1234:

This is the first year for this show. But it's a safe guess that it will be totally awesome!

    #62 4 years ago

Yep. It's gonna be HUGE, but it's not just about pinball. When you have every console game there and representation by Xbox and Playstation, along with just about every console game ever made, you realize there's so much there that it'll be tough to get bored. Looking forward to it.

    #63 4 years ago

    Ya I almost......almost wish I weren't playing in Pinburgh so I could see everything......almost

Those are both awesome shows! I can say we will have more free play games than either of those shows because the PAPA collection of vids and pins is over 700.

Great thing is Pinburgh is over on Saturday. You have the rest of the day Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the rest of the show!

Unfortunately I have to fly out early Sunday morning, but at least I will get most of Sat to look around.

Found out about Pinburg spots opening up so I nabbed one. First Pinburg, can't wait.

I hope this tournament goes very smoothly with minimal hiccups, so they can increase the field size next year.

In conjunction with our booth at ReplayFX : the PinballSTAR AMH RAFFLE # 2 IS NOW OPEN !!!!!

We had such a great response to the AMH raffle we did at Allentown Pinfest in May we are doing it again in conjunction with this week's ReplayFX show in Pittsburgh. http://www.ReplayFX.org

We have donated 2 NIB WOZ's so far : one to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philadephia in Dec 2013 and one to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in August 2014. This week at ReplayFx we are donating another NIB WOZ to Dan at Project Pinball for his organization to donate to another children's hospital. Why ? Dan and I have become friends given our common objective to place pinball machines in children's hospitals and Dan has a number of hospitals waiting on donations so we wanted to assist his fine organization and partner with him on this donation (and maybe future ones). These raffles directly result in pinball machines being bought and donated for the kids ! The AMH raffle at Allentown in may helped pay for a portion of this machine we are donating to Project Pinball this week. The rest we will be raising through this current raffle at ReplayFX. We hope to have Mark Steinman, ReplayFX Show Director draw the winner for us at the show !

America's Most Haunted - YES we opened another new one up and it will be able to be played at the show... We are running a raffle on this game - one of the LAST ones available after they sold out of the limited run of 150. $ 100 per raffle ticket / and we bumped it up to 125 tickets total being sold. Hopefully we can sell out before the show is over... All proceeds over cost go to the PinballSTAR Children's Hospital Charity. Charlie from Spooky and I came up with this as a great way to let one of the last available games that I bought long ago go towards a good cause. We will be selling entries in our booth at the show, but you don't have to be at the show to buy a ticket - just paypal AS A GIFT (so no fees) to Joe@PinballSTAR.com. Come on Pinside - let's get these 100 tickets sold before the end of ReplayFX so we can draw the winner there at the show and let someone maybe walk away with it. If not sold out, we will sell until they are gone. Winner will be responsible for shipping is all. The game raffled is the one we will have set up for play at the show. No limit to number of tickets you can buy - side note : the winner of the game at Allentown Pinfest bought 2 tickets - doubling his chances !

Win an AMH for $ 100 !!! Send $ 100 via paypal AS A GIFT (no fees or it will be rejected) to Joe@PinballSTAR.com... That's all you need to do. Since we are at the show we will not be sending separate email confirmations - but once you get your Paypal confirmation email - rest assured, you are in ! We will also be selling tickets in our booth at the show !

AMH is SOLD OUT - all 150 made will surely be collector's items !

Oh, and of course come see us at our booth at ReplayFX. We will have AMH, WOZ Standard, WOZ 75th, The Hobbit, Medieval Madness Remake. We are authorized distributors for JJP, Spooky, PPS, and Virtuapin !

Also selling at the show from our personal collection : Earthshaker Prototype, restored Gottlieb Grand Slam, Gottlieb Minstrel Man project, restored Rockola World Series (1935), Chicago Coin Goalee hockey arcade game (1950's), (2) Linked Off Road Thunder Driving games, restored 1940 Wurlitzer 1250 Jukebox, restored English Pelham Marionette Puppet Show arcade piece (1960's)... We always have the biggest booth with the most NEW games and best VARIETY of old / interesting games we bring to share with everyone... If interested in any please email us !

Many thanks for everyone's support and kind words when we do these raffles and donations !

Stupid question, is there a direct shuttle from the Pittsburgh airport to the Westin?

Not sure on that one. I would recommend contacting the Westin.

28X bus will get you within a few blocks for $3.75. And of course there's always the Supertube:
    http://replayfx.org/location-travel/travel-information/

I'm probably gonna Uber it. If you've never used the app, sign up with code RIDIN30 and your first ride up to $30 is free. Just about covers a ride from the airport to ReplayFX.

    #76 4 years ago

    Definitely taking the Supertube!!

    #77 4 years ago

    In!

    #78 4 years ago

Shared a cab with two other people. Total fare was $37 from the airport. Just FYI.

    #79 4 years ago

Never taxi when you can Uber. Looks like they pickup from the airport.

Bus is $3.75 from the airport.

    #81 4 years ago

That is what I planned on taking but got persuaded otherwise I will be taking the bus back.

    #82 4 years ago

    Also Pinburgh is awesome.

    #83 4 years ago

Seeing Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe both practicing in the giant row of Donkey Kong machines yesterday was a surreal experience.

    #84 4 years ago

Ya it was pretty cool. It has been an awesome experience so far.

    #85 4 years ago

Billy as it turns out is quite a nice guy... those rumors of him being a jerk are just that... rumors... Walter Day is a great guy too..... as is Ritchie Knucklez

    #86 4 years ago

Rickie Knucklez had me laughing every single time I talked to him. What an energetic and positive force for the video game hobby.

The best thing about this show was the bringing together of both sides of the arcade hobby under one roof..
