Mine is booked, you need to tell them the event is Replay FX and they will give you the group rate, otherwise it is $329.00 a night, lol...

If you room with someone it is also half that cost, people that attend these tourneys are the friendliest of people and pretty sure you can cut costs if that is your concern. Hell I am had offers for people I barely know to stay at their houses. Pinburgh IMO is the best competitive tourney in the world hands down and one of the toughest to win as you need to be consistent on a wide range of machines for 10 grueling rounds of competition. There are no do overs and you need to be on your game from the moment you plunge the ball...

    Quoted from Frax:

I'm all ears... I've never been there. I don't intend to have a car, unless I can check my Civic.

They have prizing from A-D division so there are no donations, the prizing in the lower divisions is exceptional and more attainable. Replay FX is by far the best show I have ever been too and Pinburgh is the best pinball tournament format going, not a show I would want to miss in fact if I only could afford to go to one this one would be it.

Just to set the record straight Pinburgh collects 70k from competitors and then tops up another 30k in sponsorships, etc. what other tourneys do that? They do that so there can be great prizing for all divisions. I get it the entry fee is expensive but you got 700 people that enter and sell it out in 2 hours, sorry but I think you are in the minority. You should really come and experience it just once I think if you talk to the majority of people they will agree it is money well spent.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

They give away over 50k to the top 40 in A.
They give away less than 50k to the winners in all other divisions combined.
The vast majority of people are donators. I understand it. They want to be a premier event and funnel the expensive entry fee to a large prize pool. Just one of the factors that have kept me from going to the show.
I may hit it next year or the year after but reality is that it is a once in a great while show for me based on the cost/commitment vs what you get for value elsewhere. I prefer to go to PAPA and hope to return again for the next event. I am sure I will check out Pinnburgh eventually.
