I had a similar problem with my Space Mission although it would eventually kick it out, sometimes after 5 or 6 tries. I checked the chute, apron and everything mechanical but that wasn’t my issue.

I desoldered the outhole kicker coil and took off 3 layers of wire and resoldered it and it been kicking out to the shooter lane strong ever since then.
